  • • Design, develop, and maintain software applications that handle and process large volumes of data for R1 RCM’s data platform foundation.
  • • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and build software solutions that integrate and utilize data effectively.
  • • Build and optimize data models and databases to ensure high performance and operational efficiency.
  • • Write code to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources into data warehouses and data lakes.
  • • Implement data quality checks and data governance processes to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and data-related issues across production environments.
  • • Work with big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka to enable scalable data processing.
  • • Conduct performance testing and optimization of applications handling large-scale datasets.
  • • Acquire and prepare data from primary and secondary disparate data sources to support analytics and business intelligence needs.
  • • Design and implement distributed system architectures that support high availability and fault tolerance.
  • • Utilize modern data pipeline orchestration tools to create, manage, and automate complex ETL workflows.
  • • Leverage SQL and NoSQL database systems for data storage, querying, and analysis.
  • • Operate within cloud environments, with preference for Azure, to deploy and manage data infrastructure.
  • • Use Databricks to develop and optimize data processing jobs and analytics workflows.
  • • Apply strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills to address technical challenges in a fast-evolving healthcare data environment.
  • • Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively through verbal and written channels to stakeholders across engineering, operations, and business teams.
  • • Contribute to continuous improvement of data platform capabilities to support R1’s mission of transforming patient experience and financial performance in healthcare.
  • • Stay current with evolving data engineering practices and technologies within the healthcare and technology sectors.
  • • Support scalable, secure, and compliant data solutions that align with healthcare industry standards and regulatory requirements.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 4+ years' work experience in software engineering or data engineering domain
  • • Expert knowledge and experience working with Scala or PySpark
  • • Experience working with modern data pipeline orchestration tools to create complex ETL pipeline jobs
  • • Experience working with SQL and NoSQL database systems
  • • Experience with distributed system architecture design
  • • Experience with cloud environments (Azure preferred)
