Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Serve as the primary data consultant, strategist, and relationship manager for a specific business domain such as Customer Care, Finance, Marketing, Revenue, Spend & Control, or Travel.
- • Collaborate with business leaders to define data-driven strategies that align with their strategic goals, solve critical challenges, and uncover new opportunities for growth and efficiency.
- • Proactively identify high-impact data use cases that generate measurable business value, including revenue increases, cost reductions, or operational efficiency gains.
- • Translate vague or ambiguous business requests into well-defined, measurable data projects with clear technical requirements for delivery by Data Analytics, Engineering, or Science teams.
- • Manage the end-to-end portfolio of data initiatives within your assigned business unit, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and available team capacity.
- • Define the urgency, business target dates, and prioritization of data projects, influencing how data teams estimate and allocate resources — without owning the technical execution.
- • Act as the key translator between business stakeholders and technical data teams, adapting communication style to executives, analysts, engineers, and data scientists.
- • Conduct initial ad-hoc analysis using SQL and Looker to answer time-sensitive business questions, perform sanity checks, validate hypotheses, and assess data quality and feasibility.
- • Triage incoming data requests by determining whether they require quick resolution, deeper analysis, or engineering work, and escalate appropriately with clear context, urgency, and success criteria.
- • Identify recurring ad-hoc requests that signal gaps in existing dashboards, documentation, data quality, or self-service capabilities, and propose scalable data product solutions.
- • Drive data literacy and adoption within business units by coaching teams on how to use data tools, interpret insights, and integrate data into daily decision-making.
- • Provide expert consultation on data availability, appropriate analytical methodologies, and the interpretation of insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- • Monitor and report on the actual business outcomes and ROI delivered by completed data products, ensuring demonstrable impact is tracked and communicated.
- • Champion data product adoption by publicizing successful initiatives and amplifying learning across the organization.
- • Anticipate common data quality issues and strategically say "no" to requests that misalign with the team’s vision or compromise long-term data integrity.
- • Ensure pain points related to data quality, governance, or enablement are surfaced and prioritized within the broader data team’s roadmap.
- • Bridge the gap between data insights and business action by translating findings into concrete process changes and operational improvements.
- • Work in-person at least three days per week at Perk’s Barcelona office, as the role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders and data teams in an IRL-first environment.
- • Operate as the central point of contact for all data-related inquiries within your assigned business domain, owning the end-to-end experience from request intake to impact realization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Data Product Partner, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role bridging business needs with data teams
- • Strong ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into clear, actionable data projects with measurable outcomes
- • Proficiency in SQL and data exploration tools such as Looker for ad-hoc analysis and quick validations
- • Demonstrated success in managing stakeholder expectations, prioritizing competing demands, and influencing without direct authority
- • Experience tracking and reporting on the business ROI of data initiatives
- • Deep understanding of data governance, data quality challenges, and the lifecycle of data products
🏖️ Benefits
- • Opportunity to work with a global team of 1,800+ professionals across 12 offices
- • Relocation support available for candidates from anywhere in the world
- • English as the official office language
- • In-person collaboration three days per week in Barcelona to foster connectivity and creativity
- • Exposure to leading companies such as Wise, On Running, Breitling, and Fabletics
- • Culture focused on curiosity, purpose, and mindset over just knowledge
