- • Build and deploy machine learning models and data products that consume, transform, and expose data to stakeholders and production systems to drive business decisions at scale
- • Partner with product, engineering, design, and business teams to prioritize, execute, and measure the impact of data-driven initiatives across Ramp’s core functions
- • Lead the development of experimental design frameworks, testing agendas, and best practices to institutionalize a culture of data-driven decision-making
- • Collaborate with data engineering teams to capture, store, and transform raw data into actionable insights that inform product development, risk evaluation, and growth strategies
- • Design and distribute dashboards, reports, and analytics platforms using BI tools to enable teams to monitor KPIs, track performance, and identify optimization opportunities
- • Own end-to-end delivery of data products—from ideation and modeling to deployment and iteration—ensuring scalability, accuracy, and usability across the organization
- • Influence the evolution of Ramp’s data infrastructure by contributing to tooling, processes, and systems that improve data quality, accessibility, and governance
- • Translate complex financial and operational data into clear insights that directly impact customer spend behavior, fraud detection, underwriting, and revenue growth
- • Work within high-stakes, data-dense environments where accuracy and speed are critical to maintaining trust and compliance in financial operations
- • Embed deeply within Product Data, Risk & Capital Markets Data, or Growth Data teams to deliver insights that shape product roadmaps, improve customer acquisition, and optimize financial risk models
- • Drive process improvements by identifying inefficiencies in data workflows and implementing automated, scalable solutions that reduce manual effort and increase reliability
- • Maintain rigorous standards for data quality, version control, documentation, and testing in analytics engineering pipelines to ensure reproducibility and auditability
- • Communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders through compelling visualizations, narratives, and presentations that drive alignment and action
- • Contribute to Ramp’s culture of high agency and urgency by owning problems end-to-end and making consequential decisions that impact billions in annualized spend
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 4 years of industry experience as a Data Scientist
- • Strong knowledge of SQL (preferably Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery) and ability to write efficient, scalable queries
- • Familiarity with BI tools (Looker, Omni, Sigma, Hex or equivalent) and experience distributing insights via reports and dashboards
- • Track record of shipping high-quality data products and features at scale
- • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment focused on iterative technical solutions
