- • Join Perplexity as an experienced Data Scientist focused on Growth, playing a pivotal role in scaling our user base and expanding our global reach. - • You will be a key collaborator, working hand-in-hand with our Growth, Marketing, Product, Enterprise, and Partnership teams. Your primary objective will be to leverage data to optimize and inform strategies across a wide spectrum of growth initiatives, including paid acquisition, organic growth, product development, user retention, monetization, and the cultivation of strategic partnerships.
- • Dive deep into user behavior, meticulously analyzing conversion funnels and retention patterns. Your insights will be instrumental in driving both paid and organic growth, identifying key levers for user acquisition and engagement.
- • Lead comprehensive user research and segmentation analyses. This will inform critical decisions regarding market targeting, product development roadmaps, and the optimization of paid campaigns, ensuring our efforts are precisely aligned with user needs and market opportunities.
- • Design, implement, and rigorously interpret A/B tests and other statistical experiments. This continuous experimentation will be crucial for enhancing marketing performance, refining product features, and improving the overall user experience, ensuring we are constantly iterating towards optimal outcomes.
- • Define, implement, and visualize key growth metrics across all facets of the user journey – from paid acquisition and organic channels to activation, retention, and monetization. You will build and maintain dashboards that provide clear visibility into business performance and marketing ROI, enabling data-driven decision-making at all levels.
- • Develop and refine data models and pipelines to enhance the efficiency of our analytics capabilities. This includes enabling self-service analytics for cross-functional teams and building robust infrastructure to support strategic decision-making.
- • Contribute directly to revenue growth initiatives by conducting in-depth pricing analysis, optimizing subscription models, and developing strategies for enterprise growth.
- • Analyze the performance of paid acquisition channels and campaigns with a critical eye. You will identify opportunities for optimization, guide budget allocation, and ensure the sustainable growth of our paid efforts.
- • Conduct detailed analyses of social media performance, SEO initiatives, and overall marketing spend. The goal is to maximize our reach, engagement, and cost-effectiveness across all marketing touchpoints.

🎯 Requirements
- • 6-8 years of experience in a Data Scientist or related role with a strong focus on growth initiatives.
- • Proven experience across key growth disciplines such as paid acquisition, product marketing, SEO, social media, lifecycle marketing, product analytics, and/or conversion optimization.
- • Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Omni, Mode, Hex, Looker).
- • Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing A/B tests and statistical experimentation.
- • A self-starter mentality with a strong sense of ownership, comfortable tackling open-ended problems and collaborating effectively across teams.
- • Experience with data modeling and pipeline development (e.g., dbt, Airflow).
