- • The Data Solutions Engineer II is responsible for bringing strong knowledge of Data Warehousing (including ETL, development, testing, ad-hoc reporting, and business analysis) to the Finance function and participating in the full life cycle of data and analytic solutions, broadly from requirements through ETL/ELT, production, consumption and ad-hoc reporting.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing end-to-end data warehouse/data mart solutions using Databricks and Microsoft technologies, building data models for insurance-specific workflows (claims, care management, utilization management, eligibility, population health), partnering with Data Solutions Analysts and business stakeholders on requirements gathering and data quality, developing reports and dashboards for business consumers, testing and tuning data pipelines and queries, and maintaining data security and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and contractual requirements.

- • In this role, the individual can deepen expertise in modern data engineering platforms (Azure Databricks, Spark, SQL, Python), gain specialized knowledge of healthcare data domains (claims, billing, eligibility, population health), develop end-to-end solution ownership from requirements to production, and advance technical and collaborative skills in a regulated, enterprise environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- • Minimum of four (4) years’ data engineering-level SQL experience, including data modeling, profiling, cleansing, and building complex data sets
- • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience building enterprise data solutions (data warehouses and data marts)
- • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience building customer-facing data solutions (PowerBI, Tableau, Oracle, advanced Excel, etc.)
- • Experience with Azure Databricks, Spark (PySpark/SparkSQL), and modern data lake/lakehouse platforms (Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Hadoop)
- • Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering, including data transformation, pipeline development, and analytics support
