📋 Description

• As a Databricks Platform Administrator at SunnyData Inc., you will manage and optimize the Databricks environment to ensure a reliable, secure, and well-governed platform for analytics, ML, and production workloads, directly enabling customers to leverage scalable data architectures and advanced AI applications.
• Day to day, you will own Databricks administration and operations—including cluster policies, permissions, Unity Catalog, Jobs/Workflows, and networking—while supporting data and ML workflows, enhancing self-service capabilities, and collaborating with data, ML, and DevOps teams to drive automation, best practices, and cloud infrastructure integration.

• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Databricks ecosystem management, gain hands-on experience with modern data governance (Unity Catalog, RBAC), cloud infrastructure (AWS), orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt), and AI engineering practices (MLflow, LLMOps), positioning you for growth in data platform and AI operations leadership.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience administering or engineering on Databricks or in a closely related data platform role
• Strong working knowledge of Databricks workspace administration including cluster policies, permissions, Unity Catalog, Jobs/Workflows, and networking
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with familiarity in Spark expected
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field
• Familiarity with AWS services (S3, IAM, VPC, EC2) that underpin Databricks deployments
• Experience with data pipeline and orchestration tools such as dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, or Delta Live Tables
