Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end delivery of high-stakes, finance-focused AI initiatives for Fortune 500 and hyper-growth clients, translating complex business requirements into executable roadmaps that unlock measurable ROI.
- • Act as the single point of accountability for timeline, budget, quality, and risk across multi-disciplinary pods that span data scientists, ML engineers, finance SMEs, and product managers located in North America, Europe, and APAC.
- • Drive agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, PI planning) while tailoring the methodology to the realities of frontier AI research—iterating on datasets, model architectures, and evaluation frameworks in parallel with enterprise governance and regulatory constraints.
- • Translate CFO-level objectives into granular Jira epics and user stories, ensuring every deliverable maps to a clear financial KPI such as cost-to-serve reduction, revenue uplift, or risk-weighted capital efficiency.
- • Build and maintain a living finance-domain backlog that balances quick-win pilots (4–6 weeks) with multi-quarter platform builds, continuously re-prioritizing based on shifting market conditions and emerging regulatory guidance (Basel III, IFRS 17, CECL, etc.).
- • Partner with Turing’s Research Acceleration team to integrate cutting-edge techniques—chain-of-thought reasoning, retrieval-augmented generation, multimodal transformers—into production-grade finance workflows without compromising explainability or auditability.
- • Establish and monitor OKRs that quantify business impact: e.g., 15 % reduction in manual reconciliation hours, 30 % faster VaR model refresh cycles, or $5 M annual savings from automated KYC/AML screening.
- • Orchestrate data acquisition strategies across internal ledgers, third-party vendors, and synthetic generation pipelines, ensuring completeness, lineage, and privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA, GLBA).
- • Manage stakeholder expectations at the C-suite, regulator, and engineering levels, translating technical trade-offs into business language and vice versa; produce executive-level steering-committee decks on a weekly cadence.
- • Implement rigorous risk management frameworks covering model drift, bias, data leakage, and operational resilience; maintain RAID logs and ensure every risk has a clear owner, mitigation plan, and contingency budget.
- • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by institutionalizing post-mortems, blameless retrospectives, and reusable delivery playbooks that shorten ramp-up time for future finance engagements.
- • Mentor junior project coordinators and scrum masters, providing coaching on stakeholder management, estimation techniques, and finance domain nuances to scale Turing’s delivery capacity.
- • Collaborate with Turing’s legal and compliance teams to navigate evolving AI regulations (EU AI Act, SEC guidance on model governance) and embed controls into the SDLC from day one.
- • Leverage modern delivery tooling—Jira Align, Aha!, Tableau, dbt Cloud, MLflow—to provide real-time visibility into progress, blockers, and financial burn, enabling data-driven steering decisions.
- • Represent Turing at industry conferences and client QBRs, showcasing case studies that demonstrate how frontier AI can transform finance functions while maintaining trust and transparency.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years delivering complex, data-driven software or AI products in the finance sector (banking, insurance, capital markets, or fintech).
- • Demonstrated success owning P&L or budget responsibility exceeding $2 M annually.
- • Deep fluency in finance domain concepts—general ledger, risk management, regulatory capital, actuarial modeling, or algorithmic trading.
- • Expert-level proficiency in agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and tooling (Jira, Confluence, Aha!, or equivalent).
- • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with proven ability to influence C-suite executives and cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- • Nice-to-have: PMP, SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or CFA charter; experience with cloud ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex, Azure ML); familiarity with MLOps and data governance frameworks.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote-first culture with quarterly in-person summits in San Francisco, Lisbon, or Tokyo.
- • Competitive base salary plus uncapped performance bonus tied to client ROI delivered.
- • $3,000 annual learning stipend for certifications, conferences, or advanced degrees.
- • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for you and dependents—100 % employer-paid.
- • 20 days PTO plus company-wide shutdown between Christmas and New Year’s.
