- • Design and deliver high-quality, end-to-end user interfaces for Stedi’s programmable healthcare clearinghouse platform, ensuring clarity and usability in complex healthcare transaction systems
- • Collaborate directly with engineers and customer success teams to identify and solve intricate user experience challenges related to HIPAA-compliant EDI transactions, eligibility checks, claims processing, and remittances
- • Own the visual design, interaction flow, and polish of product features from initial concept through final developer handoff, maintaining consistency with the company’s internal design system
- • Rapidly prototype multiple design solutions to test assumptions and validate product directions with real customers in the healthcare technology ecosystem
- • Define and articulate product strategy by contributing to roadmap planning, success metrics, and feature commitments based on user research and business objectives
- • Continuously improve the design system to elevate product quality across all surfaces, not just individual screens, ensuring scalability and coherence as the platform grows
- • Work with frontend technologies including React, Next.js, HTML, and CSS to bridge design and implementation, enabling accurate translation of designs into functional components
- • Engage with customers and stakeholders in the healthcare revenue-cycle management space to deeply understand their workflows, pain points, and regulatory constraints under HIPAA
- • Balance creative optimism with critical investigation to iterate on designs based on feedback, avoiding perfectionism while maintaining rigorous standards for usability and accessibility
- • Operate as a full-cycle product designer, conducting user research, creating wireframes, designing high-fidelity mockups, and coordinating with engineering on implementation details
- • Maintain alignment with Stedi’s philosophical standards, including a commitment to automation, eliminating toil, and building tools that empower both healthcare providers and technology vendors
- • Work in a highly technical domain where design decisions impact mission-critical transactions in the U.S. healthcare system, requiring precision, regulatory awareness, and deep empathy for end users
- • Contribute to a culture of rapid shipping and iterative improvement, where design changes are tested, validated, and deployed weekly across a growing SaaS platform
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of product design experience at a product-driven tech company shipping software
- • Healthcare experience required
- • Frontend development experience with React, Next.js, and HTML/CSS
- • Experience shipping software that works on complex problems, such as developer tools, revenue-cycle management, fintech systems, or process management
- • Good practical knowledge of end-to-end product design — from user research through high-fidelity design and developer handoff
- • Located in PST or EST time zones
