- • Senior Product Designer responsible for owning the member app end-to-end, shaping the daily experience for people managing diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol, or weight, and ensuring seamless integration with the internal EMR to support both member and clinician workflows.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing flows, surfaces, and interaction patterns; rapidly prototyping ideas using AI-assisted tools; conducting member research to inform decisions; maintaining the design system; collaborating with clinicians and care coordinators to reduce their workload; and making evidence-based tradeoffs between member clarity, clinician efficiency, and business goals.
- • Part of a distributed product and engineering team spanning San Diego and Vienna, reporting to the Head of Design, working closely with a full product squad including product managers, front-end and back-end engineers, and QA, with the role based in EST for optimal overlap across time zones.
- • Opportunity to define the visual and interaction language of a mission-driven health product, influence clinical workflows through consumer-facing design, grow expertise in AI-augmented design processes, and make measurable impact on chronic disease management and healthcare accessibility.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience owning a consumer product end to end, from ambiguous problem to shipped outcome with measurable results
- • Fluency with modern design tooling, including AI-assisted tools such as Cursor, v0, Claude, or Lovable, and ability to critically evaluate their output
- • Skill in conducting user research that directly informs product decisions and drives actionable outcomes
- • Ability to work effectively in ambiguity, make defensible decisions with incomplete information, and adapt quickly to new data
- • Strong written communication skills, capable of clearly articulating design rationale and distinguishing tradeoffs from excuses
