ďż˝ Description
- • Join NinjaOne LLC as a DevOps Engineer and become the backbone of our cloud-first, security-centric platform that manages millions of endpoints for thousands of MSPs and IT departments worldwide. You will architect, automate, and scale the infrastructure that keeps NinjaOne’s award-winning RMM solution running at 99.99 % uptime, processing billions of telemetry events every day.
- • Own the full CI/CD lifecycle from commit to production. You will design and maintain GitHub Actions workflows, Terraform modules, and Kubernetes Helm charts that allow feature teams to ship code to production dozens of times per day with zero-downtime blue-green deployments and automated rollback on anomaly detection.
- • Build and harden multi-region, multi-cloud environments on AWS and Azure. You will implement Infrastructure-as-Code patterns that spin up entire environments in minutes, enforce least-privilege IAM policies, and encrypt everything at rest and in transit using KMS, ACM, and customer-managed keys.
- • Champion observability and reliability. You will deploy Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and OpenTelemetry to give every developer real-time insight into latency, error rates, and saturation. You will define SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and chaos-engineering experiments to ensure our platform exceeds customer expectations.
- • Automate security and compliance. You will integrate SAST/DAST scanning, container image signing, and policy-as-code (OPA/Kyverno) into every pipeline. You will help the company maintain SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and HIPAA certifications by building guardrails instead of gates.
- • Optimize cost and performance at scale. You will right-size EC2 and EKS clusters, leverage Graviton and Spot instances, and implement auto-scaling policies that save six-figure cloud spend annually while handling 10× traffic spikes during patch Tuesday.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with product engineering, QA, and customer success. You will embed with squads to provide self-service tooling, environment parity, and on-call support that turns “it works on my machine” into “it works in prod, staging, and every developer’s laptop via Docker Compose and Skaffold.”
- • Mentor and elevate the team. You will run internal workshops on Terraform testing, Kubernetes operators, and incident-response playbooks. You will review pull requests with empathy and rigor, turning junior engineers into cloud-native experts.
- • Participate in a blameless, follow-the-sun on-call rotation (one week in six) where you will use PagerDuty, Slack, and Zoom to resolve incidents in under 15 minutes MTTR, then lead post-mortems that produce actionable improvements.
- • Drive continuous improvement. You will experiment with cutting-edge tools—Argo CD, Crossplane, eBPF, or Linkerd—and present findings at our monthly DevOps Guild. You will keep the company at the forefront of cloud-native innovation while maintaining rock-solid stability.
ďż˝ Requirements
- • 3+ years hands-on experience automating AWS or Azure infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM
- • Production-grade Kubernetes operations: cluster bootstrapping, RBAC, network policies, and Helm chart authoring
- • Deep CI/CD expertise with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins, including secrets management and artifact signing
- • Scripting fluency in Python, Go, or Bash for tooling and glue code
- • Nice-to-have: CKA/CKAD certification, experience with Windows endpoint management, or contributions to open-source DevOps projects
️ Benefits
- • 100 % remote-first culture with quarterly off-sites in destinations like Lisbon, Austin, or Bali
- • $2,500 annual professional-development stipend for certifications, conferences, or courses
- • 20 days PTO plus your birthday off and a four-week paid sabbatical after four years
- • Equity in a fast-growing, profitable SaaS company with a 4.8/5 Glassdoor rating
