Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the entire lifecycle of cloud infrastructure for a global body-motion video platform that delights millions of users on phones, tablets, smart TVs, and set-top boxes. You will architect, build, and continuously improve AWS and GCP environments that scale elastically from a handful of beta testers to Super-Bowl-sized traffic spikes without missing a beat.
- • Design and maintain rock-solid CI/CD pipelines that let data-scientists push new ML pose-estimation models, mobile developers ship weekly app updates, firmware teams flash embedded devices, and backend engineers deploy microservices—all in the same hour, with zero downtime and automated rollback on failure.
- • Partner shoulder-to-shoulder with senior engineers, product managers, and UX researchers to translate ambitious product road-maps into pragmatic infrastructure designs. You will run architecture reviews, estimate cloud costs, and choose the right mix of serverless functions, managed Kubernetes, and bare-metal edge nodes to hit latency budgets under 50 ms world-wide.
- • Harden security and compliance posture end-to-end: IAM least-privilege policies, secrets management with Vault, container image scanning, SOC-2 evidence collection, and GDPR data-lifecycle automation. You will champion Infrastructure-as-Code so every change is peer-reviewed, version-controlled, and reproducible from dev to prod.
- • Elevate observability from "it works on my laptop" to "we know exactly why the 99th-percentile frame-processing latency jumped in Singapore at 3:07 am." You will instrument code, aggregate logs, define SLIs/SLOs, and build self-healing alerts that page the right on-call engineer with context-rich runbooks.
- • Join a follow-the-sun incident-response rotation, lead blameless post-mortems, and turn outages into actionable backlog items. Your post-incident reports will be celebrated for their clarity and for the preventive measures that stop repeat failures.
- • Automate everything that moves: nightly cost-anomaly reports, database migration canaries, ML model A/B test traffic splitting, firmware OTA campaigns, and disaster-recovery drills. If it happens twice, you script it; if it happens thrice, you productize it.
- • Mentor junior engineers and evangelize DevOps culture across squads. You will run internal workshops on Terraform modules, Kubernetes operators, and chaos-engineering game-days, turning skeptics into champions of continuous delivery.
- • Keep the platform future-proof by evaluating bleeding-edge tech—WebAssembly at the edge, eBPF for kernel-level observability, or Arm-based Graviton nodes for 40 % cost savings—and running small, measurable pilots that de-risk adoption.
- • Work in a vibrant, fast-moving startup environment where your code ships to production within days, your dashboards are watched by executives, and your innovations directly impact how millions of people move, play, and connect through video.
