- • As a DevOps Engineer in Release Engineering at Zapier, you will design, implement, and operate CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows that move code from commit to production reliably, efficiently, and securely across the platform.
- • You will own end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives, define technical approaches through design docs and PoCs, break down work into executable tasks, and drive them to completion while ensuring reliability, observability, and rollout readiness.
- • You will collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Product, and Design teams to align on scope, support adoption of platform tooling, and communicate progress and risks in an async-first environment.
- • You will improve delivery metrics, build observability across pipelines, debug production issues, participate in incident response, and drive improvements in reliability, performance, and developer experience.
- • You will raise the engineering bar by reviewing code and designs, upholding standards for testing and maintainability, mentoring engineers, and contributing to team practices and tooling without formal people management.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5–8+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, or platform engineering
- • Strong experience building and operating CI/CD systems
- • Experience with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar tooling
- • Solid understanding of Kubernetes and modern deployment patterns
- • Strong coding skills and experience building production systems
- • Experience using AI tools (e.g., LLMs, copilots) in software development workflows
