• In your day-to-day activities as a DevOps Intern, you will be instrumental in supporting the meticulous implementation and automation of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. This will involve actively participating in infrastructure management tasks, ensuring the seamless operation and scalability of our cloud environments. You will be tasked with monitoring, maintaining, and continuously optimizing our cloud resources and development environments to enhance performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency. A key aspect of this role involves taking genuine ownership of your assigned tasks, fostering transparent and proactive communication within a cross-functional team. You will work in close collaboration with Product Managers, Quality Assurance (QA) engineers, and other development team members, contributing to a cohesive and productive workflow.
• Your responsibilities will extend to assisting in the deployment and management of applications across various cloud platforms, ensuring high availability and performance. You will gain practical experience in scripting and automation to streamline repetitive tasks, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing the potential for human error. This includes developing and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) using relevant tools and frameworks. Furthermore, you will contribute to the monitoring and alerting systems, helping to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact users. You will be involved in troubleshooting complex technical problems, collaborating with senior engineers to find effective solutions. The role also offers exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, providing a deep understanding of modern application deployment strategies.
• We encourage proactive engagement in security best practices within the DevOps lifecycle, contributing to the secure development and deployment of our products. You will learn to implement and manage security controls, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability, scalability, and security of GoTo's products, which are used by millions of users worldwide. This internship is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, covering a broad spectrum of DevOps principles and practices.
