• • As a DevOps Team Lead at Semperis, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our FedRAMP authorized identity and security products. This pivotal role is designed for a seasoned technical leader who excels in both hands-on architecture and team mentorship, operating within the stringent requirements of a highly regulated federal environment.
• • You will own the end-to-end deployment, orchestration, and secure operations of our critical products, ensuring they meet and exceed the rigorous standards set by FedRAMP. This involves not just maintaining existing systems but actively improving and innovating our DevOps practices.
• • A core responsibility will be to lead and enhance our build/release pipelines and GitOps workflows. This includes implementing best practices, automating processes, and ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our software delivery lifecycle within the FedRAMP boundary.
• • You will provide direct, day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management to a team of talented DevOps engineers. Your guidance will be crucial in fostering their professional growth, ensuring high performance, and maintaining team morale.
• • Architecting and operating robust Azure Government Cloud infrastructure is a key facet of this role. You will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Terragrunt to manage and provision resources, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
• • You will be responsible for managing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, implementing advanced configurations such as Istio for service mesh, securing networking components, configuring Web Application Firewalls (WAF), and enforcing Zero Trust models through Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• • Maintaining compliant CI/CD pipelines is paramount. This involves developing and managing automation scripts, ensuring all processes and documentation align meticulously with FedRAMP controls and federal security standards.
• • Overseeing our observability systems is critical for proactive issue detection and resolution. You will manage and optimize tools like Open Telemetry, Azure Monitor, and Prometheus/Grafana, ensuring we meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and maintain robust reliability practices.
• • You will manage logging, audit trails, and data indexing using OpenSearch, ensuring all data is captured, stored, and accessible in accordance with FedRAMP requirements for security and compliance.
• • This role involves active participation in supporting production environments, including being part of an on-call rotation. You will lead incident response efforts, conduct thorough post-incident analyses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• • Close collaboration with Security and Compliance teams is essential. You will actively contribute to Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) development, support annual assessments, and participate in continuous monitoring activities to maintain our FedRAMP authorization.
• • You will have opportunities to interact directly with federal customers and auditors, presenting our solutions, addressing concerns, and demonstrating our commitment to security and compliance.
