📋 Description

• Axonius is seeking a visionary and results-driven DevOps-DevEx Team Leader to spearhead a critical team dedicated to empowering our global Research and Development (R&D) organization, which comprises over 200 talented developers.
• In this pivotal role, you will serve as the technical architect and ultimate owner of the development infrastructure, taking charge of designing, implementing, and optimizing robust CI/CD workflows and highly automated development environments.
• Your primary objective will be to significantly enhance R&D efficiency, accelerate development cycles, and ensure the scalability of our engineering operations.
• This is a unique and exciting opportunity to not only build a high-performing team from the ground up but also to define and champion the core methodologies that will shape how Axonius develops and delivers its cutting-edge applications.
• You will be instrumental in establishing the vision and strategic direction for the Developer Experience (DevEx) team, focusing on creating an environment where developers can thrive and innovate.
• Key responsibilities include leading and scaling the Axonius DevEx team, meticulously defining work methodologies, and articulating a clear vision for asset management within the development lifecycle.
• You will be responsible for the end-to-end design and implementation of sophisticated CI/CD pipelines, automated staging environments, and streamlined local development setups tailored to the needs of over 200 developers.
• This involves ensuring these environments are not only efficient but also highly reliable and secure, minimizing friction in the development process.
• A significant part of your role will be to maintain and continuously optimize all cloud infrastructure falling under the DevEx domain, with a relentless focus on achieving maximum stability and cost-effectiveness.
• You will proactively identify areas for improvement, implement best practices for resource management, and monitor performance to ensure optimal utilization of cloud services.
• Collaboration is key: you will work closely and cross-functionally with various teams, including Security, IT Operations, and the R&D departments, to understand their needs, address service requests, and architect effective technical solutions that align with business objectives.
• You will act as a bridge between infrastructure and development, ensuring seamless integration and communication.
• This role demands a strategic thinker who can balance the immediate needs of the development teams with the long-term vision for infrastructure resilience and efficiency.
• You will champion automation, infrastructure as code, and other DevOps principles to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud-native technologies and a passion for creating developer-centric tools and processes.
• You will be responsible for setting performance metrics for the team and the infrastructure, tracking progress, and reporting on key achievements and challenges.

🎯 Requirements

• Over 2 years of direct engineering management experience, coupled with 5+ years of hands-on experience managing cloud-based environments.
• Advanced proficiency in AWS architecture and infrastructure platforms, with a strong understanding of core services.
• Professional coding experience in at least one of the following languages: Python, Ruby, GoLang, or JavaScript.
• Extensive hands-on proficiency with modern CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), Docker, and Linux containers.
• Proven ability to provide technical mentorship and strategic vision for asset creation and infrastructure development.
• Full professional proficiency in both English and Hebrew.
