📋 Description

• As a Digital Artist at Amplify Education, you will create age-appropriate narrative art that brings literacy curriculum to life through illustrated characters and storytelling, directly supporting K–12 learners and educators in developing foundational reading and math skills.
• Day to day, you will collaborate with art directors, interaction developers, UX designers, product owners, and curriculum experts to gather requirements, produce illustrations from sketch to final vector art, follow visual style guidelines, and iterate on deliverables based on stakeholder feedback.
• You will join Amplify’s creative team—a group of designers, artists, and storytellers who value big ideas and meticulous execution, working across digital, print, environmental, interactive, and animation projects with a hands-on, highly collaborative approach to product development and design systems.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in industry-standard tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects, InDesign), and contribute to at least three specialized workflows such as animation, icon design, photo retouching, or print layout, while gaining experience in educational technology and design systems.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, design, illustration, communications, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in illustration
• Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects and InDesign
• Ability to draw by hand
• Experience with creating rapid sketches and thumbnails for review and feedback
• Experience with creating rich, high-fidelity vector art illustrations
• Ability to follow style guides and adapt to multiple illustration styles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Superb visual and conceptual skills to solve problems and create novel solutions
• Demonstrated expertise in at least three of the following: Figma, photo retouching in Photoshop, animation/motion graphics in AfterEffects, typography/graphic design/print production in InDesign, icon design in Illustrator/Figma, or photo research
