- • Create innovative, thought-provoking, and highly leveraged "must-have insights" content to support senior leaders of data analytics in Audit functions across global enterprises, government agencies, and non-profits.
- • Develop actionable, research-driven insights and strategies that accelerate clients’ ability to act on audit data analytics challenges.
- • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify root causes of client barriers, reframe thinking, and drive strategic direction for audit data analytics functions.
- • Establish and lead thought leadership positions across a team of analysts within Gartner’s Business and Technology Insights (BTI) group.
- • Bring independent, provocative insights to Gartner leadership that evolve the research agenda for audit technology and data analytics.
- • Research, analyze, and predict market trends and shifts to deliver actionable intelligence to clients and vendors in the audit and risk domain.
- • Provide clients and prospects with tailored, expert advice through virtual and in-person interactions aligned with their content area.
- • Create and deliver high-value presentation materials for Gartner conferences, industry events, professional association forums, and client briefings.
- • Support BTI and Sales teams by serving as the voice of the market, enabling content development and driving client engagement to advance critical business priorities.
- • Conduct high-quality, timely peer reviews of content to ensure consistency, accuracy, and strategic alignment across the insights team.
- • Build and maintain credibility as a recognized industry expert representing Gartner’s research methodologies, strategy, and insights.
- • Actively participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions with peers across the global Insights community.
- • Identify and implement research process improvements to enhance service delivery and team efficiency.
- • Mentor and coach junior team members to foster professional growth and knowledge transfer.
- • Maintain a client-centric approach by encouraging regular and meaningful engagement with Gartner insights and interactions.
- • Translate evolving technology trends—particularly in cyber, cloud security, governance, resilience, data protection, third-party risk, and change management—into practical guidance for audit and risk leaders.
- • Synthesize complex data using structured frameworks to generate defendable, actionable insights for executive audiences.
- • Demonstrate exceptional research and writing skills to produce high-quality, insight-driven content for C-suite and senior leadership stakeholders.
- • Represent Gartner at speaking engagements of varying scales, from small client meetings to large industry conferences.
- • Manage competing priorities under tight deadlines while consistently delivering high-quality deliverables.
- • Collaborate effectively within multicultural, global, and matrixed teams while working independently with minimal supervision.
- • Navigate complex, highly matrixed environments with agility and adaptability.
- • Maintain deep knowledge of the global competitive landscape and market dynamics within audit technology and data analytics.
- • Travel up to 25% as required for client engagements, conferences, and internal meetings.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years of relevant industry experience, including at least 3 years in data analytics within internal audit and at least 7 years in internal audit or broader data analytics roles.
- • Demonstrated thought leadership in developing audit data analytics vision, strategy, processes, and capabilities.
- • Experience leading the development and execution of data analytics strategies across one or more internal audit functions.
- • Strong analytical capabilities to synthesize complex data, identify patterns, and apply structured frameworks to generate actionable insights.
- • Exceptional research and writing skills for executive-level, insight-driven content.
- • Ability to translate technology trends into practical guidance for audit and risk leaders.
