Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end health of LVHN’s inpatient clinical applications portfolio, serving 13 hospitals and every patient who walks through our doors. You will steward Epic modules (ClinDoc, Orders, Stork, Beacon, Willow Inpatient) plus integrated solutions such as Omnicell and Elsevier, ensuring 24/7 reliability and continuous innovation.
- • Lead, mentor, and inspire a 30-person team of analysts, architects, and managers who live at the intersection of technology and patient care. Through succession planning, targeted development plans, and a culture of psychological safety, you will turn today’s talent into tomorrow’s health-tech leaders.
- • Govern a dynamic portfolio of strategic initiatives that directly improve patient safety and clinical efficiency. Current priorities include Epic optimization on Azure, Honor Roll achievements, new Hanover Hills and Neighborhood Hospitals rollouts, ambient listening pilots for nursing, AI-driven clinical decision support, and medication-safety enhancements such as pediatric infusion redesign.
- • Translate complex clinical workflows into scalable technology solutions by forging deep partnerships with pharmacy, nursing, physician, and operational leaders. You will run joint governance councils, co-design enhancements, and measure success through hard clinical and financial KPIs.
- • Orchestrate vendor relationships—from Epic to third-party integrators—negotiating contracts, roadmaps, and service-level agreements that protect LVHN’s interests while accelerating delivery. You will hold quarterly business reviews and drive accountability for outcomes.
- • Champion rigorous project management across waterfall and agile workstreams, ensuring every initiative lands on time, on budget, and above clinician expectations. You will own resource allocation, risk registers, and executive dashboards that keep stakeholders informed and confident.
- • Design and execute functional integration testing strategies that safeguard patient data and clinical workflows during every release. You will institutionalize automated regression suites, chaos-engineering drills, and disaster-recovery playbooks that exceed Leapfrog safety standards.
- • Serve as the escalation point for high-severity incidents, coordinating cross-functional war rooms that restore service in minutes—not hours—while performing blameless post-mortems that prevent recurrence.
- • Drive financial stewardship by managing multi-million-dollar capital and operating budgets, forecasting spend, and identifying cost-avoidance opportunities through smarter licensing, cloud economics, and workforce optimization.
- • Shape the future of LVHN’s clinical technology roadmap by scanning emerging trends—ambient AI, FHIR APIs, predictive analytics—and translating them into pilot proposals that secure executive sponsorship and measurable ROI.
- • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by embedding Lean, ITIL, and human-centered design principles into daily operations. You will celebrate wins, surface friction, and empower teams to run rapid-cycle PDSA experiments.
- • Represent LVHN at regional and national forums, sharing best practices, publishing case studies, and building a reputation that attracts top-tier talent and strategic partnerships.
