• • Veritone is seeking a visionary and results-oriented executive to spearhead the strategic growth and scaling of our global AI and data ecosystem's supply side. This pivotal role is responsible for the end-to-end process of acquiring, structuring, and retaining premium, rights-cleared multimodal content and data across more than two dozen diverse industry verticals. Your primary objective will be to ensure Veritone maintains robust and durable sell-side liquidity, which is essential for powering our cutting-edge AI products, enabling data monetization strategies, and supporting next-generation model training workflows. You will operate at the critical intersection of data acquisition, sophisticated content licensing, and dynamic marketplace strategy, with the mandate to build and fortify the long-term supply moats that distinctly differentiate Veritone's AI platform from commodity competitors in the market.
• • **Supply & Data Acquisition (Primary Accountability):** You will own the global strategy for acquiring high-value, premium multimodal content, encompassing video, audio, text, and associated metadata. This content will be meticulously curated and prepared for AI training, inference, and commercial monetization purposes. A key focus will be on securing exclusive or preferred supply agreements that provide Veritone with a competitive edge. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing scalable acquisition frameworks that move beyond one-off, ad-hoc deals towards a programmatic and efficient onboarding of massive, diverse datasets. A critical component of this responsibility is ensuring that all acquired supply is not only abundant but also 'AI-Ready' – meaning it is fully rights-cleared, properly governed, and compliant with all global privacy regulations and licensing constraints.
• • **Marketplace & Liquidity Strategy:** You will serve as a key participant and strategist for sell-side liquidity across Veritone's dynamic data and AI marketplaces. This involves defining, refining, and optimizing incentive models designed to attract and retain high-quality suppliers. A delicate balance must be struck between ensuring sufficient supply depth and maintaining superior quality, while simultaneously meeting the downstream demand from our diverse customer base. You will be responsible for tracking and optimizing critical liquidity Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including active supplier numbers, inventory depth and breadth, content utilization rates, and overall yield.
• • **Strategic Partnerships & Anchor Supply:** A significant aspect of this role involves leading negotiations for strategic anchor supply partnerships. These partnerships are crucial for materially expanding Veritone's data footprint and enhancing our strategic relevance within key industries. The goal is to structure these partnerships as enduring, long-term strategic assets rather than purely transactional engagements, fostering deep, collaborative relationships that yield sustained value.
• • **Product, AI & Governance Alignment:** You will work collaboratively and cross-functionally with our Product, AI, and Engineering teams to ensure that the acquired supply is modular, rich in metadata, and perfectly aligned with emerging model architectures and development roadmaps. This includes establishing robust frameworks for rights transparency, auditability, and usage enforcement across all stages of AI model development and deployment, including training, fine-tuning, and inference. You will partner closely with our Legal department to meticulously minimize intellectual property (IP) risk while simultaneously maximizing monetization flexibility and opportunities for our valued customers. This role requires a deep understanding of the AI lifecycle and how data supply chain directly impacts product innovation and commercial success.
