- • The Director/AVP, Data Architect is a senior technical leader responsible for designing, building, and evolving enterprise data platforms that place analytics at the core of decision‑making for Arch Investments Group Ltd’s Property & Casualty insurance products.
- • Day‑to‑day responsibilities include owning and evolving enterprise data architecture, designing and optimizing complex data pipelines and data models, leading development of data workflows using Apache Airflow or equivalent, enabling trusted reporting through standardized datasets, partnering with analytics teams to support dashboards and executive reporting, mentoring engineers, managing data engineering efforts across the project lifecycle, automating data ingestion from internal and external sources, promoting best practices in data modeling and version control, building cross‑functional partnerships with actuarial, analytics, and technology teams, and operating effectively in ambiguous problem spaces.
- • The role sits within the Actuarial Operations team, which designs and implements advanced pricing models and analytical solutions that drive profitability and growth across Arch’s insurance portfolio, fostering a culture of collaboration, expertise, and innovation.
- • The person in this role will achieve mastery in enterprise data architecture for actuarial and analytical use cases, gain deep exposure to insurance‑focused data platforms, develop leadership and mentoring capabilities in data engineering, and contribute directly to scalable, production‑grade data solutions that enable data‑driven decision making across the organization.
