📋 Description

• Lead data science and applied AI for ServiceTitan’s operational core and post-sales product experience, turning complex data into intelligent systems that improve internal efficiency and customer-facing AI products like support agents and onboarding intelligence.
• Own the data science and AI roadmap for operations—building agentic systems, forecasting, lead scoring, voice of the customer aggregation, and decision-support tools that improve throughput, reliability, and unit economics.
• Lead, hire, and develop a data science team focused on operational and product-facing work, setting standards for technical rigor, evaluation, and production quality.
• Partner with operations, finance, product, and engineering leadership to identify high-leverage problems and translate them into shipped AI capabilities and measurable business outcomes.
• Drive the full lifecycle of AI systems from problem definition through deployment and monitoring, ensuring reliability in production for internal forecasts, autonomous workflows, and live customer interactions.
• Establish metrics and evaluation frameworks connecting AI work to operational, financial, and customer outcomes such as deflection, resolution quality, time-to-value, and retention.
• Champion an AI/agent-first culture by acting as a hands-on technical leader and inventing agentic systems that increase team velocity and impact.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in data science or applied AI/ML, with 5+ years leading and growing teams.
• Demonstrated track record deploying systems that delivered measurable impact across internal operational decisions and customer-facing AI features.
• Strong foundation in statistics and ML, with depth in modern AI including LLMs, agentic systems, orchestration, retrieval, and evaluation practices.
• Experience building or owning production AI systems such as agents, conversational systems, or autonomous workflows, including eval, monitoring, and safety practices.
• Fluency in SQL and Python; familiarity with modern data and AI stacks (cloud warehouses, dbt, LLM/agent deployment pipelines).
• Proven ability to partner with non-technical executives and translate ambiguous business problems into tractable work.
