  • • Lead enterprise sales efforts to acquire net new logos from national and regional health plans and payers, owning the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
  • • Drive revenue expansion within existing payer accounts by identifying and executing upsell and cross-sell opportunities, partnering with customer success to enable growth.
  • • Manage complex enterprise sales cycles lasting 6–18 months, maintaining consistent deal momentum across multiple stakeholder layers within payer organizations.
  • • Build and sustain executive-level relationships with C-suite and VP-level decision makers at health plans, including CMOs, VPs of Quality, and VPs of Value-Based Programs.
  • • Translate Stellar Health’s platform value into payer-specific outcomes focused on improved quality performance, reduced medical costs, and stronger provider partnerships.
  • • Develop deep expertise in each prospect’s quality metrics (e.g., HEDIS, Stars) and cost objectives to tailor the value proposition and secure buy-in.
  • • Lead contract negotiations for MSAs, SOWs, BAAs, and SLAs with health plan procurement, legal, and finance teams.
  • • Maintain accurate and reliable pipeline and forecast data in CRM, providing regular, data-driven updates to leadership on deal progression.
  • • Represent Stellar Health at key industry events including AHIP, RISE, Blues Summit, and APG to expand market presence and generate leads.
  • • Collaborate closely with implementation, clinical, and product teams to ensure seamless post-close handoff and enhance customer experience.
  • • Contribute market intelligence and voice-of-customer feedback to shape product roadmap and go-to-market strategy.
  • • Travel 25–30% for in-person meetings with prospects and attendance at industry conferences.
  • • Operate with high autonomy in a high-growth environment, taking full ownership of revenue targets and net new logo generation.
  • • Function as a trusted advisor to payer executives, leveraging deep knowledge of value-based care models and payer economics to influence purchasing decisions.
  • • Demonstrate consistent quota attainment in roles requiring net new business generation, not account management or renewal-focused sales.
  • • Navigate multi-stakeholder buying processes within payer organizations, building internal coalitions to advance complex deals to closure.
  • • Maintain rigorous discipline in pipeline management and long-cycle forecasting, ensuring visibility and predictability for leadership.
  • • Communicate clearly and persuasively to translate SaaS-based healthcare technology value into measurable payer outcomes.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of enterprise sales experience with a proven track record of closing net new business, not account management alone.
  • • Proven experience selling into health plans, payers, or managed care organizations.
  • • Direct experience navigating and closing complex enterprise deals with sales cycles of 6–18 months.
  • • Consistent history of quota attainment in roles requiring net new logo generation.
  • • Strong understanding of payer economics, value-based care models, quality measurement (HEDIS, Stars), and how health plans evaluate and buy technology.
  • • Experience with SaaS-based healthcare technology solutions.
