Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As Director of Learner Products at Pluralsight, you will lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for core learning offerings, directly impacting user adoption, engagement, revenue growth, retention, and bookings across a portfolio that includes Courses, Assessments, Labs, Curation/Learning Experiences, Mobile, and Content Tools. This role is pivotal in aligning product management with engineering, design, content, sales, and marketing to deliver measurable business outcomes and ensure the platform remains best-in-class for technology skill development.
- • You will directly manage and develop a team of Product Managers, setting clear expectations, coaching through ambiguity, and building team capability to execute at the pace and quality required by the business. Your day-to-day includes defining product strategy grounded in customer needs and jobs-to-be-done, owning the multi-year roadmap, driving execution with measurable outcomes, and mobilizing your team to impact key metrics such as revenue growth, retention, and bookings.
- • You will own the full product lifecycle—from discovery and business case through development, launch, and in-market optimization—ensuring alignment with company strategy and financial goals. This includes conducting market research, identifying trends and customer segments, developing competitive analysis, and collaborating cross-functionally with leaders in Product, Design, Content, Engineering, Sales, Services, Presales, SaaS Operations, InfoSec, Support, Product Marketing, and Marketing to enable go-to-market planning, launches, and customer engagement.
- • You will engage directly with customers and prospects to validate concepts, lead advisory boards and strategic user groups, and incorporate feedback into product strategy. Additionally, you will manage product-level economics (P&L inputs, pricing, packaging), build customer-facing ROI frameworks, and communicate data-driven roadmaps and business cases to senior executives, linking investment to expected business impact while fostering an inclusive, servant-led team culture.
- • In this role, you will improve product delivery by developing scalable operations, processes, frameworks, and resources across organizational boundaries. You will apply AI tools and process optimization to product management workflows, champion continuous improvement, request frequent feedback, and model the behaviors of a team-first leader who believes in learning from mistakes and advocating for continuous growth—both for yourself and your team.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 12 years of related or equivalent experience in product management or adjacent disciplines; or 8+ years with an advanced degree.
- • Proven experience as a people leader at a senior level, managing and developing Product Managers in a SaaS environment, with a servant leadership mindset and track record of building healthy, inclusive teams.
- • Demonstrated ability to define and execute product and portfolio strategy using customer insights, market research, competitive analysis, voice of customer, business reviews, and company goals, including ownership of product-line business outcomes such as revenue growth, retention, bookings, and margin/EBITDA improvements.
- • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting product strategy, roadmaps, and business cases in company-wide and executive forums, and ability to use data and KPIs to make investment trade-offs and measure impact across revenue, retention, engagement, and other product-line metrics.
- • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with Product, Design, Content, Engineering, and customer-facing teams to deliver impactful customer experiences, including applying AI tools and process optimization to key product management workflows.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive compensation packages with an annual US base salary range of $186,700 – $247,400 USD, plus potential bonuses and additional benefits based on location, skills, and experience.
- • Comprehensive team member benefits including medical coverage, unlimited PTO, wellness reimbursements, free Pluralsight subscription, and professional development funds to support ongoing learning and growth.
- • A mission-driven, blended workplace offering remote or hybrid flexibility based on role and location, with a strong commitment to diversity, belonging, trust, autonomy, and collaboration.
- • Access to a culture of lifelong learning and continuous improvement, where team members are encouraged to experiment, learn from mistakes, seek feedback, and grow both personally and professionally.
