• • As the Director of AI Engineering at SEON, you will be instrumental in driving AI-driven innovation and engineering excellence across all our operational locations. This pivotal role involves spearheading the establishment of a dedicated applied research group, defining the strategic roadmap for AI initiatives that will propel us towards our vision of becoming the definitive AI-driven command center for risk and compliance teams. You will be responsible for the strategic and effective utilization of state-of-the-art technologies to significantly enhance our fraud prevention products and deliver unparalleled value to our diverse customer base.
• • Your responsibilities will extend to leading the recruitment and professional development of a high-caliber team comprising AI engineers and data scientists. You will set the strategic direction for all data-related initiatives, ensuring they are meticulously aligned with our ambitious goal of transitioning into a truly AI-centric organization. This role demands close, collaborative engagement with various departments across the company to embed data-driven decision-making and advanced AI capabilities throughout the organization, thereby playing a critical role in our accelerated growth and ongoing evolution.

• • Strategic AI Leadership and Vision: Architect and implement a comprehensive, forward-thinking AI strategy that is intrinsically aligned with SEON's overarching business objectives and our strategic pivot towards becoming an AI-first organization. You will be the primary visionary and leader for the development, deployment, and ongoing support of innovative AI initiatives that drive tangible business outcomes.
• • Team Building, Mentorship, and Management: Take the lead in the end-to-end process of recruiting, nurturing, and managing our AI engineering and applied AI research teams, ensuring a cohesive and high-performing unit across all our global locations. Cultivate an environment that champions innovation, fosters deep collaboration, and promotes a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• • AI Infrastructure, Architecture, and Governance: Provide strategic oversight for the design, development, implementation, and ongoing management of robust, highly scalable, and compliant AI infrastructure and product capabilities. Ensure these systems effectively support and enable the company's ambitious AI initiatives, adhering to the highest standards of security and regulatory compliance.
• • Cross-functional Collaboration and Integration: Act as the principal AI subject matter expert and strategic consultant to our Product and Engineering departments. Facilitate and ensure the seamless, high-impact integration of cutting-edge AI innovations into SEON’s core product suite, maximizing their value and market impact.
• • Driving Innovation and Applied Research: Maintain a keen awareness of emerging industry trends, breakthroughs, and advancements in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Proactively advocate for and lead the adoption of novel technologies and methodologies that will sustain and enhance SEON's competitive advantage in the market.
• • Product Enhancement through AI: Identify and champion opportunities to leverage AI and machine learning to enhance existing product features, develop new capabilities, and create novel solutions that address evolving customer needs and market challenges in fraud prevention and compliance.
• • Data Strategy and Management: Contribute to the development and execution of a robust data strategy that underpins our AI initiatives, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and ethical usage across the organization.
• • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for AI models and systems, and oversee their continuous monitoring, evaluation, and optimization to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
• • Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate AI strategies, progress, and insights to a wide range of stakeholders, including executive leadership, technical teams, and potentially external partners, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
