- • Binti, Inc. is seeking a visionary and AI-savvy leader to spearhead our internal Information Technology (IT) function, elevating it to meet the demands of a rapidly growing, mission-driven software company. As the Director of IT, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the robust technological infrastructure that empowers our employees to collaborate effectively, serve our clients, and drive innovation in social services.
- • This pivotal role requires a leader who can assess our current IT landscape, identify areas for improvement, and architect a pragmatic, AI-forward strategy for iterative enhancement. You will be the primary owner of our IT roadmap, making critical decisions about in-house versus outsourced functions, conducting thorough vendor analyses, and ensuring smooth, stakeholder-informed rollouts of new technologies and processes.
- • A key aspect of this position involves close collaboration with our security and compliance teams. You will contribute significantly to enhancing enterprise infrastructure management, with a particular focus on the responsible and strategic integration of Artificial Intelligence tools to optimize IT operations and employee experience.
- • Your responsibilities will span the entire employee technology lifecycle. This includes the provisioning, maintenance, and comprehensive support of employee workstations and software across a diverse range of operating systems, including macOS, Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS. You will also manage the full spectrum of access control for software and systems, implementing and maintaining Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions for both employees and contractors, ensuring a secure and streamlined user experience.
- • The role encompasses managing the IT needs of our physical office headquarters, including networking, Wi-Fi infrastructure, key card systems, and printing services. Furthermore, you will administer essential backend IT infrastructure components such as Google Workspace, VPN services, and Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, ensuring their reliability and optimal performance.
- • A significant part of your day-to-day will involve managing the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, providing seamless technology setup and deactivation for both in-person and remote team members. You will also be responsible for proposing, managing, and optimizing the budget allocated for employee software and hardware, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with strategic goals.
- • Given Binti's nationally distributed remote workforce, you will play a crucial role in supporting these employees, demonstrating flexibility to address IT needs outside of standard Pacific business hours when necessary. This requires a proactive and adaptable approach to IT support.
- • You will have the opportunity to lead impactful projects, such as consolidating SaaS access control onto a unified platform like Okta, thereby improving SSO automation and governance. Additionally, you may contribute to critical business decisions like site selection for new Binti offices and the subsequent setup of their IT infrastructure. Assisting with Security and Trust audits will also be a key responsibility, ensuring Binti maintains the highest standards of data security and compliance.
- • The ideal candidate is a curious, empathetic, and growth-minded leader with a strong spirit of service. You will possess a proven track record of delivering excellence in internal IT functions within cloud-native technology companies. Expertise in managing vendor relationships and strategically elevating IT maturity is essential. You should have demonstrable experience with cloud-based software solutions, particularly MDM-as-a-service, and be comfortable operating within a heterogeneous device platform environment.
- • Experience with enterprise access management and SaaS administration, including platforms like Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra, and Okta, is highly valued. We are looking for someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and tackle any IT challenge, recognizing that no task is too big or too small. A high degree of technical aptitude and exceptional troubleshooting skills are paramount for success in this dynamic role. This is an opportunity to shape the technological future of a company making a profound impact on social services.
