• • The Cybersecurity Group at SandboxAQ is actively seeking a highly accomplished Director of Software Engineering. This pivotal role is responsible for the strategic building, effective leadership, and scalable growth of high-performing software engineering teams. Your mandate will be to deliver reliable, high-quality products that meet and exceed industry standards. You will serve as a key strategic partner, collaborating closely with Product Managers, our dedicated Platform Engineering teams, and other cross-functional leaders. Your primary objective will be to translate overarching business strategy into precise technical execution, all while upholding the most rigorous engineering standards.
• • In this capacity, you will assume ownership of the engineering outcomes for our Product Engineering initiatives. You will guide multiple teams, transitioning them from nascent, early-stage startup environments to a robust, scalable engine of delivery. A critical aspect of your role will involve shaping the technical direction that underpins both our Cryptographic Posture Management and AI Security Posture Management products. You will masterfully balance the demands of product delivery, people leadership, and astute technical judgment, concurrently developing engineering managers and individual contributors to operate with exceptional effectiveness at scale.

• • Owning the end-to-end delivery and quality assurance for multiple software engineering teams, ensuring timely and high-caliber product releases.
• • Leading, mentoring, and developing engineering managers, fostering their growth and effectiveness in managing teams and projects.
• • Translating high-level business priorities into actionable, detailed execution plans that guide engineering efforts.
• • Driving the technical strategy for your product areas, ensuring alignment with the overall product roadmap and long-term vision.
• • Setting, maintaining, and enforcing stringent engineering standards across all teams to guarantee code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
• • Ensuring operational excellence and system reliability for all products under your purview, minimizing downtime and maximizing performance.
• • Partnering closely with Product Management and other cross-functional leaders to ensure cohesive strategy and execution.
• • Proactively identifying and mitigating execution risks and organizational challenges to ensure smooth project progression.
