📋 Description

• As Director of Product Management for Onboarding & Activations at 1Password, you will lead the strategy and execution of enterprise deployment systems that directly impact customer retention, expansion, and long-term platform durability by ensuring secure, scalable, and seamless onboarding experiences for enterprise customers.
• You will own the end-to-end onboarding and activation lifecycle, redefining it as an identity-first deployment motion by improving critical flows for admins and end users, establishing device and user trust, and instrumenting onboarding funnels with deep telemetry to measure identity health and deployment maturity.
• You will partner with Engineering to evolve the platform architecture supporting scalable onboarding, high-volume provisioning, policy orchestration, and enterprise-grade reliability, driving architectural decisions that balance flexibility, simplicity, and security-first design across Password Manager and Extended Access Management capabilities.
• You will lead cross-functional alignment with Platform Engineering, Security Architecture, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, and Design to influence multi-year roadmap planning, drive alignment on architectural trade-offs, and build a high-performing team of Product Managers responsible for onboarding systems, platform components, and activation analytics.
• You will define activation milestones tied to user activation, admin engagement, device/extension coverage, and user engagement, and work with Data to build dashboards tracking identity health, ensuring platform investments are clearly tied to enterprise growth outcomes.
• You will translate complex identity infrastructure — including SAML, OIDC, OAuth, SCIM, directory services, and conditional access — into intuitive admin experiences, while operating as a systems thinker who understands how identity architecture impacts activation, retention, and expansion in security-conscious, regulated markets.
• You will leverage your experience with LLMs or generative AI platforms to explore innovative applications in onboarding workflows, while maintaining a data-driven approach to onboarding and identity health metrics, and demonstrating executive-level communication and product intuition to influence GTM, Product, and Platform teams.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in Product Management or a related field with increasing scope and leadership, including 3+ years leading PM teams in enterprise B2B SaaS.
• Deep experience building or owning identity, authentication, or directory-integrated systems, with proven track record partnering with engineering on platform-level architecture decisions.
• Strongly preferred background in Identity & Access Management (IAM), Zero Trust, or security platforms, including hands-on experience with SAML, OIDC, OAuth, SCIM provisioning, directory services, group sync, and conditional access frameworks.
