• • The Director, Retail Design role at DEPT Holding B.V. is a visionary leadership position that combines hands-on design execution with strategic oversight to shape world-class brand experiences across physical retail and print environments. As a player-coach, you will lead by doing, setting the highest standards for visual excellence while guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, culturally resonant work that drives client success and aligns with DEPT’s mission of growth invention at the intersection of technology and marketing.
• • Day to day, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define and uphold the agency’s visual and conceptual standards, lead hands-on design work including sketching, prototyping, and refining deliverables, mentor and develop talent through actionable feedback and 1:1s, translate strategic insights into compelling visual languages, build trusted relationships with senior clients, and drive complex retail projects from concept to completion — ensuring they exceed expectations, stay on budget, and meet deadlines while advancing the company’s design discipline through process improvements and innovation.
