📋 Description
- • Staff Software Engineer role focused on designing and developing algorithms for the Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) within VMware VCF, a critical component of vSphere that optimizes workload placement and resource balancing across virtualized environments using vMotion.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing scalable scheduling algorithms for multi-constraint problems, implementing and optimizing resource placement across storage, networking, compute, and hardware accelerators, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate DRS with Kubernetes on vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and vCenter, decomposing vague problems into detailed requirements, developing automated tests, participating in code reviews, and troubleshooting complex workload placement and resource balancing issues.
