- • As an EBA Technical Business Analyst I in Software Engineering at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, you will play a key role in building and enhancing innovative web-based applications that power critical operations across the organization, directly supporting the mission to improve children’s health through technology-driven solutions in clinical and operational systems.
- • You will gain hands-on exposure to Clinical and Operational software within Information Services while developing a deep understanding of how technology drives success at every level of the medical center, contributing to improved patient care, workforce empowerment, and healthcare transformation.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing, designing, supporting, maintaining, enhancing, and implementing low-complexity systems and solutions that improve business operations and employee experience, all under the guidance of senior team members.
- • You will observe technical and business systems analysts working with end-user communities to learn how to develop requirements for system solutions, and assist in system testing, technical documentation, and change control processes with direction from senior staff.
- • You will provide technical support and problem resolution for production and process issues, seek guidance to troubleshoot error messages, and support departmental efforts to improve customer satisfaction by monitoring SLAs and escalating as needed.
- • You will monitor system performance and functionality to prevent potential issues, gather information for future development needs or feasibility studies, and adhere to and promote continual adoption of change management policies and procedures.
- • You will develop knowledge and professional skills through cross-training, literature review, attendance at department meetings, vendor education, and participation in instructional seminars, while maintaining positive relationships and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- • You will engage in continued development on Cincinnati Children’s computer-based systems, model outstanding customer service behavior with timely and effective follow-up, and contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement aligned with the organization’s values.
- • The team operates within IS Digital Health, supporting enterprise-wide applications that enable seamless clinical workflows, data integrity, and operational efficiency across one of the nation’s top pediatric healthcare institutions.
- • This role offers the opportunity to grow into a trusted technical advisor who bridges business needs and technical execution, gaining foundational expertise in healthcare IT systems, lifecycle processes, and user-centered design principles that are transferable across the health technology sector.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- • 0+ years of experience in a related job discipline
- • Ability to follow defined policies, procedures, and practices with guidance from senior team members
- • Conceptual understanding of theories, practices, and procedures within the business analysis or software engineering discipline
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with end users, technical teams, and stakeholders
- • Willingness to learn, observe, and assist in system testing, documentation, and change control processes under supervision
