  • • Under supervision, evaluate, diagnose, and perform repairs on basic biomedical equipment at customer locations in the Fargo, ND area.
  • • Conduct planned maintenance (PM) and safety/environmental inspections on assigned medical equipment as directed.
  • • Assist senior technicians with both basic and more complex equipment repairs and troubleshooting tasks.
  • • Communicate effectively with customers to explain technical issues in clear, non-technical terms and ensure resolution and follow-up.
  • • Maintain daily customer communications to foster strong relationships and drive satisfaction.
  • • Document all repair actions, maintenance activities, and service summaries accurately and submit reports according to schedule.
  • • Adhere to GE HealthCare policies, hospital protocols, and all applicable regulatory requirements including Health and Human Services and Environment Health and Safety standards.
  • • Properly maintain, calibrate, and care for tools, test equipment, and spare parts to ensure operational readiness.
  • • Participate in on-call rotation when trained, including weekend and after-hours coverage for critical equipment failures.
  • • Utilize manuals, technical support resources, Facetime, and online tools to resolve equipment issues during PM and repair tasks.
  • • Work collaboratively as part of a local service team to deliver efficient and timely service across assigned accounts.
  • • Support business goals and contractual obligations as instructed by GE HealthCare and customer agreements.
  • • Continuously enhance technical knowledge through formal instruction and training on current medical equipment standards, codes, and procedures.
  • • Meet physical demands of the role including lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 35 lbs. unassisted, frequent bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and prolonged standing or sitting.
  • • Possess required visual acuity including color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision to safely perform equipment inspections and repairs.
  • • Demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity and ability to reach above, below, and at shoulder level with neck flexibility.
  • • Comply with all customer access requirements, including immunization verification, background checks, and potential federal government clearance processes.
