- • The Editor/Content Strategist II at NerdWallet plays a pivotal role in shaping financial content that empowers consumers to make informed decisions, directly supporting the company’s mission to bring clarity to life’s financial choices.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include editing consumer-facing content for clarity, engagement, and actionability; providing feedback and coaching to writers; supporting content strategy through SEO and keyword research; analyzing performance data to inform editorial decisions; managing content production workflows; and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align editorial priorities with business goals.
- • The role sits within NerdWallet’s Banking Content team, part of a mission-driven, inclusive, and flexible organization that values autonomy, innovation, and employee well-being, whether working remotely or in-office across the U.S.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in financial content strategy, strengthen your editorial leadership and data-informed decision-making skills, and contribute to innovative formats including AI-driven content, while mentoring writers and influencing how millions understand banking products and services.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience editing for consumer-facing online publications
- • Proven track record of strong line-editing with a focus on consumer/reader experience
- • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide constructive feedback to writers and peers
- • Knowledge of SEO best practices or demonstrated interest in learning
