Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Editorial Writer at Workyard Inc. responsible for producing credible, high-quality content that builds authority in the U.S. construction and trades markets, supporting PR, sales, and marketing efforts through press releases, white papers, thought leadership, and SEO-optimized blog content.
- • Day-to-day tasks include writing press releases, guest posts, expert quotes, contributed statements, white papers, gated assets (guides, reports, ebooks), thought leadership articles for LinkedIn Pulse, and long-form blog and SEO content based on briefs from content leadership; researching technical topics like labor laws, construction workflows, and payroll processes; collaborating with data analysts to ensure accuracy; and identifying content gaps for leadership review.
- • Workyard is a growing SaaS startup focused on the U.S. construction and trades industry, where $300 billion is spent annually on labor; the company builds technology to bring trust, transparency, and accountability to workforce management, with a strong core product and multi-product roadmap.
- • The role offers the opportunity to develop deep expertise in writing for technical, industry-specific audiences; master different content formats (PR, white papers, thought leadership, SEO); gain experience in a fast-growing startup; and contribute to Workyard’s credibility in search, AI-driven answer engines, and decision-maker consideration.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2 to 4 years of professional writing experience with a portfolio spanning multiple formats, including PR writing, white papers, or long-form editorial (blog posts alone are insufficient).
- • Experience writing for technical or industry-specific audiences, with the ability to quickly learn and credibly write about specialized topics like construction, labor laws, or software functionality.
- • Familiarity with SEO and AEO from a writer’s perspective, including structure, heading hierarchy, answer-first formatting, and understanding how LLMs retrieve and cite content.
- • Proficiency with WordPress and/or Webflow for publishing, including handling metadata and basic CMS tasks independently.
- • Strong accountability to deadlines, with the ability to manage multiple content pipelines without causing downstream delays.
- • Skill in taking direction and feedback cleanly, revising without negotiation, and being evaluated on content quality and performance rather than word count or hours.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote work arrangement, allowing flexibility to work from anywhere in the Philippines.
- • Opportunity to work with a growing SaaS startup in a high-impact industry (U.S. construction and trades) with significant market potential.
- • Clear path for impact and growth, with defined success milestones at 3, 6, and 12–18 months tied to content credibility, pipeline efficiency, and organic visibility.
- • Collaboration with a dedicated content team and direct reporting to the Head of Content, ensuring structured guidance and professional development.
- • Engagement in meaningful work that builds trust and transparency in an underserved industry, contributing to Workyard’s mission of bringing accountability to workforce management.
