- • Serve as the enterprise-wide authority on electrical engineering architecture, driving standardization of frameworks, tools, and design practices across all business groups at Agilent.
- • Accelerate the product lifecycle by establishing and enforcing a single, enterprise-wide best-practice electrical engineering ecosystem with standardized governance and processes.
- • Lead the Electrical Engineering Leadership Forum to foster alignment, share best practices, and ensure consistent technical rigor across global R&D teams.
- • Design, manage, and modernize the end-to-end digital development tool chain to enable modular design, hardware reuse, and improved productivity.
- • Evaluate, deploy, and integrate common engineering tools that enhance process efficiency and ensure consistent, effective usage across the organization through training and guidance.
- • Establish and operate an electrical engineering design hub to provide scalable, high-quality engineering support and enable cross-functional collaboration.
- • Drive engineering initiatives to optimize development costs, accelerate time-to-market, and ensure seamless transfer of designs into manufacturing.
- • Optimize product architectures for supply chain stability and long-term post-market production sustainability.
- • Define and maintain enterprise-level electrical engineering standards, including test methods, design frameworks, and documentation protocols.
- • Use KPIs and analytics to monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement in engineering processes.
- • Lead training, coaching, and change management programs to ensure organization-wide adoption of new standards, tools, and methodologies.
- • Mentor and develop emerging engineering leaders across the enterprise, promoting a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- • Act as the primary champion for electrical engineering excellence, removing organizational barriers, accelerating decision-making, and fostering empowerment across distributed teams.
- • Partner with product and technology leaders to strengthen technical credibility, encourage innovation, and align engineering strategy with business objectives.
- • Maintain deep technical credibility with engineering teams while operating at a strategic, systems-level to influence enterprise-wide R&D direction.
- • Travel up to 25% of the time to support global teams, conduct workshops, and facilitate alignment across Agilent’s R&D locations.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree or PhD preferred
- • Minimum 10 years of growing responsibility in R&D technical engineering roles, or PhD with 5 years of industry experience in product development
- • Demonstrated leadership experience managing globally distributed engineering teams
- • Proven track record of building organizational capability through coaching, training, governance, and continuous improvement
- • Extensive experience driving cross-functional collaboration and influencing senior leaders across diverse business groups
- • Strong strategic thinking and systems-level problem-solving skills
