- • You will be instrumental in assembling comprehensive technical data packages, meticulously determining the export control jurisdiction and classification for technical data, related commodities, and software. This involves a deep dive into regulatory frameworks to ensure adherence to all applicable laws.
- • A key responsibility will be assisting in the analysis and interpretation of requirements for "technical data or not" determinations, requiring a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of regulatory nuances.
- • You will gain hands-on experience processing all required export or import documentation for international shipments, playing a crucial role in the seamless movement of goods across borders.
- • This role involves the daily classification of commodities using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Census Schedule B Export Codes, a fundamental task for maintaining accurate trade records.
- • You will be responsible for maintaining and updating the product master database with applicable HTS classifications or export classification determinations, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- • Continuous learning and maintenance of proficiency with both U.S. and international export and import regulations are paramount, as you will be expected to stay abreast of evolving legal landscapes.
- • Understanding and contributing to the classification On-Time Delivery (OTD) metrics and turn-back rates will be part of your contribution to operational efficiency.
- • You will actively participate in the review of red flags or watch list screening "hits" for escalation, following established Global Trade Guidance, Standard Work, and Standard Procedures to mitigate risks.
- • Assisting with and participating in internal compliance audits and investigations related to export controls will provide valuable experience in risk management and regulatory enforcement.
- • Effective communication in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is essential for collaborating with customers, co-workers, and supervisors who may only communicate in English, ensuring clarity and preventing misunderstandings.
