Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Join Nadara, the renewable-energy pioneer that calls its unique philosophy “living energy.” As our Technical Asset Management Trainee in Madrid, you will become the analytical heartbeat of a fast-growing portfolio of utility-scale photovoltaic plants across Spain and Europe. Every sunrise you will open our proprietary monitoring dashboard and immediately see the real-time pulse of hundreds of megawatts—your job is to notice what others miss and turn data into decisive action that keeps electrons flowing and investors smiling.
- • Your first mission is daily operational support: you will interrogate SCADA streams, inverter logs, and meteorological sensors to flag under-performance, curtailment events, or warranty breaches before they cost a single kilowatt-hour. You will build concise morning briefs that translate complex anomalies into plain language for asset managers, O&M contractors, and lenders, ensuring that corrective tickets are opened, tracked, and closed within SLA windows.
- • Next, you will assist in the supervision of O&M contracts. You will cross-check contractor KPIs against contractual guarantees, verify that preventive maintenance schedules are met, and photographically document corrective works for compliance files. When a tracker motor fails or a string fuse blows, you will own the follow-up: Was the Mean Time to Repair acceptable? Did the contractor invoice correctly? Your scrutiny saves money and keeps trust high.
- • Reporting is where your story-telling skills shine. Each month you will help prepare technical performance reports for institutional investors, banks, and insurers. You will normalize PR values, calculate specific yield deviations, and craft executive summaries that highlight wins and flag risks. Your charts will be crisp, your footnotes meticulous, and your conclusions actionable.
- • Continuous improvement is in Nadara’s DNA. You will mine historical data to spot seasonal patterns, propose tweaks to cleaning schedules, or recommend firmware upgrades that squeeze an extra 0.5 % out of every array. You will also maintain a living library of lessons learned so that each new plant benefits from the last.
- • Collaboration is daily and global. You will huddle with Spanish site managers at 9 a.m., join a call with German asset owners at 11 a.m., and troubleshoot with Indian monitoring partners at 3 p.m. Fluency in English and a resilient, proactive mindset are therefore non-negotiable.
- • Finally, you will embody Nadara’s commitment to sustainability beyond spreadsheets. Whether you are volunteering at a local school’s solar lab or suggesting ways to reduce office waste, your personal values must align with ours. We do not just generate renewable energy—we live it.
🎯 Requirements
- • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, Industrial, or Statistics Engineering
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel pivot tables & Power BI basics) and a quick learner of SCADA/monitoring platforms
- • Resilient, proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- • Fluent English (C1 minimum); Spanish is a strong plus
- • Genuine passion for renewable energy and demonstrable sustainable mindset
🏖️ Benefits
- • Part-time, paid internship (20–25 h/week) with flexible schedule around university commitments
- • Hands-on exposure to a multi-gigawatt international PV portfolio and direct mentorship from senior asset managers
- • Hybrid work model: two days from home, three days in our modern Madrid office near Atocha
- • Access to internal training platform, language courses, and invitation to global sustainability volunteering days
