📋 Description

• As an Engineering Manager at Tide Platform Limited, you will lead and manage a cross-functional team of 8-12 engineers responsible for building and running products that help SMEs save time and money through business accounts, banking services, invoicing, accounting, and administrative solutions.
• Day to day, you will partner with a Product Manager to form the Product Engineering Duo, drive technical excellence and architecture, ensure delivery quality and timelines, coach engineers, and remain hands-on by dividing time between design, coding, and problem-solving while fostering team wellbeing and continuous improvement measured by DORA metrics.
• Tide is a fast-growing fintech company transforming small business banking with over 1.8 million members globally across the UK, India, Germany, and France, backed by over $300 million in funding and operating with a diverse, remote-first culture across technology centers in Serbia, Romania, Lithuania, Hyderabad, Sofia, and offices in London, Berlin, Paris, Luxembourg, Gurugram, and New Delhi.
• In this role, you will develop leadership and technical expertise by making architectural decisions, influencing engineering practices, mentoring engineers, and shaping the future of Tide’s platform while working in domain-aligned, full-stack teams that emphasize autonomy, collaboration, and Communities of Practice.

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive experience (10+ years) building server-side applications with detailed knowledge of Python, Java, C#, or similar languages
• Experience leading and directly managing engineering teams
• Sound knowledge of backend frameworks (e.g., Spring/Spring Boot) and experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native scalable solutions
• Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and integrating with third-party providers
• Ability to work effectively in agile environments and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Hands-on technical leadership with a mindset of delivering secure, well-tested, and well-documented software
