- • Lead one of Tremendous' engineering teams (Banking, Catalog, or Prepaid Cards) to drive technical excellence and team growth in a fully remote, high-documentation, low-meeting environment.
- • Grow engineers' careers through regular 1:1s, thoughtful feedback, coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous development and ownership.
- • Own technical quality by leading code reviews, making architecture decisions, setting engineering standards, and ensuring the team ships reliable, maintainable code.
- • Report to the Director of Engineering and collaborate with product managers to define and evolve team processes without needing permission — fix what's broken and improve how work gets done.

🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2 years leading a team as a manager or tech lead.
- • Great technical judgment — consistently making sound technical decisions and clearly explaining the reasoning behind them.
- • Strong communication skills — able to write technical briefs and convey complex ideas to cross-functional stakeholders.
- • Solid product intuition — ability to understand what to build and articulate product goals to engineers.
- • Proven ability to mentor and develop engineers, with high empathy and a track record of being a magnet for talent.
- • Experience using AI tools effectively in personal and team workflows while maintaining high standards for quality and rigor.
