Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • We're on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads.
  • • We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.
  • • We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.
  • • If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.
  • • We're looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a senior team working on Crusoe Cloud's container registry. The registry sits on the critical path of every deployment and job launch on our platform, and its performance directly affects how quickly customer workloads come online. This is a people-first leadership role: you'll spend your time growing strong engineers, building a team known for its quality, and making sure the work that matters ships reliably.
  • • You'll bring the technical depth to guide hard calls and earn your team's trust, but your success is measured through what your team accomplishes. This is a full-time position.
  • • What You'll Be Working On:
  • • Grow and develop your team. Coach a team of experienced engineers and help each person expand their scope, impact, and career.
  • • Run a high-performing team. Set the tone for how the team works together, set a high standard, and build an environment where engineers do their best work.
  • • Own delivery. Plan and prioritize your team's work, set clear and ambitious goals, and be accountable for shipping them.
  • • Set the technical direction for your area. Stay close enough to the work to lead it well: ask the hard questions, hold the bar on quality and reliability, and make sound tradeoff calls alongside your engineers.
  • • Shape the team over time. Raise the level of the team through hiring, interviewing, and thoughtful onboarding. As the team grows, shape its structure and roadmap to match where it's headed.
  • • Collaborate across functions. Partner with product, platform teams, peer managers, and leadership to align on priorities and represent your team's work clearly across the org.
  • • Own operational health. Make sure the team has all the processes in place to succeed.
  • • What You'll Bring to the Team:
  • • You care about people. You want the engineers around you to grow, you give feedback that's both direct and kind, and you measure your own success through your team's.
  • • Technical depth. You have at least 4 years building software as an engineer, and you can navigate design and architecture decisions with confidence.
  • • Experience leading engineers. You've managed or led a team before, or you've been an informal lead ready to step fully into the role. We care more that you've helped engineers do their best work than about a title.
  • • A track record of shipping. You've routinely delivered complex projects, and you have the judgment to keep a team focused and moving when problems are ambiguous and the stakes are high.
  • • Strong communication and judgment. You can align people across functions, explain technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical partners alike, and give your team clarity about what matters and why.
  • • Bonus Points:
  • • Experience managing or scaling a team through growth
  • • Familiarity with the OCI image and distribution specs
  • • Experience building container registry products
  • • Experience with storage or caching systems at scale
  • • Benefits:
  • • Competitive compensation and equity packages
  • • Restricted Stock Units
  • • Paid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programs
  • • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance
  • • Employer contributions to HSA account
  • • Paid parental leave
  • • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability
  • • Professional development & tuition reimbursement
  • • Mental health & wellness support
  • • Commuter benefits (parking & transit)
  • • Cell phone stipend
  • • 401(k) Retirement plan with company match up to 4% of salary
  • • Volunteer time off
  • • Global travel insurance & emergency assistance
  • • Daily meals allowance
  • • Additional perks & programs specific to location
