• • Own the heart of the Yazio experience: the daily diary where millions log meals, water, and habits. Your squad’s code is the first thing users touch every morning and the last thing they see at night—your decisions directly shape retention, conversion, and the emotional connection people have with their health journey.
• • Co-create strategy with your Product Manager in a true leadership duo. Together you define quarterly OKRs, decide which experiments to run, and sequence technical investments so that new-user onboarding, search speed, and long-term data integrity all improve in parallel.
• • Build and nurture a resilient, high-trust engineering team. Run weekly 1:1s that balance psychological safety with a high bar for ownership; craft individual growth plans that turn mid-level engineers into senior leaders; and keep squad rituals (planning, retro, demo) lean, focused, and energizing.
• • Balance rapid experimentation with sustainable architecture. You’ll decide when to ship a quick A/B test in Compose UI versus investing in shared Kotlin Multiplatform modules that cut future Android/iOS duplication by 40 %. You treat tech debt as a portfolio: some cards are high-interest loans that must be paid immediately, others are low-risk bonds you can hold.
• • Drive measurable impact through data. Own dashboards that track daily tracking rate, funnel drop-offs, and experiment lift; use these metrics to challenge the “why,” shape the “how,” and tell a crisp story to stakeholders. When numbers dip, you lead blameless post-mortems that convert insights into backlog action.
• • Champion an AI- and automation-first mindset. Encourage engineers to use GitHub Copilot for boilerplate, run regression suites in minutes via automated testing, and leverage LLMs to surface duplicate food entries—always tying tooling choices to user value and squad velocity.
• • Protect predictability during crunch periods. Whether it’s New Year’s resolution surge or a major app-store feature drop, you shield the team from scope creep, negotiate realistic deadlines, and ensure overtime is rare and always compensated with time off.
• • Influence beyond squad boundaries. Work hand-in-hand with the Mobile Platform team to land breaking changes safely, coordinate shared design-system updates with the DesignOps squad, and represent tracking-experience needs in quarterly architecture guilds.
• • Foster an inclusive, international culture. With teammates from 25+ countries, you facilitate async communication that respects time zones, run retros in English, and celebrate diverse perspectives—because better products come from broader lived experiences.
• • Model calm under pressure and high ambiguity. When priorities shift overnight or a critical bug threatens launch, you radiate clarity: you triage, communicate trade-offs, and keep the squad focused on the highest-impact next step without burning people out.
