- • Own the complete sales cycle for Coder’s Environment-as-a-Service platform inside Fortune 500 engineering organizations, from first cold outreach to signed multi-year contracts worth seven figures.
- • Build and continuously refine a high-quality pipeline of enterprise accounts in the greater Chicago market, leveraging outbound prospecting, warm referrals, and strategic inbound follow-up to keep 3–4× quota coverage at all times.
- • Deliver crisp, differentiated demonstrations that translate complex technical capabilities—secure self-hosted CDEs, policy-driven governance, AI-agent orchestration—into clear business outcomes: faster release velocity, lower cloud spend, and reduced data-exfiltration risk.
- • Partner daily with Sales Engineers to scope technical evaluations, design pilot architectures, and run proof-of-concepts that prove value to skeptical platform, security, and developer-productivity stakeholders.
- • Map and nurture multi-threaded relationships across engineering leadership (CTO, VP Eng, Staff Engineers), security & compliance teams, and economic buyers (CFO, CPO) to shorten enterprise sales cycles and expand deal size.
- • Travel up to 15 % for on-site discovery workshops, executive briefings, and closing meetings; host quarterly business reviews that turn satisfied customers into enthusiastic advocates and expansion opportunities.
- • Translate customer feedback into actionable insights for Product and Engineering, influencing roadmap priorities such as deeper GenAI IDE integrations (Cursor, Claude, Copilot, Goose) and advanced audit-trail capabilities.
- • Maintain meticulous CRM hygiene (Salesforce, HubSpot) so leadership can forecast accurately and marketing can attribute pipeline to the right campaigns and events.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success to craft adoption plans that ensure pilots convert to production deployments and renewals grow at 130 %+ net-revenue retention.
- • Champion Coder’s mission of making agentic AI a safe, trusted part of every SDLC by speaking at local DevOps meetups, authoring thought-leadership posts, and representing the company at major conferences like KubeCon and AWS re:Invent.
- • Stay ahead of emerging trends—Cursor composable agents, secure supply-chain orchestration, confidential-compute CDEs—so you can position Coder as the strategic platform that future-proofs customers’ AI investments.
- • Mentor junior Account Executives and SDRs, sharing battle-tested prospecting sequences, objection-handling frameworks, and negotiation tactics that elevate the entire sales organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of quota-carrying SaaS sales experience with a demonstrable history of exceeding annual targets.
- • 3+ years selling developer-centric or infrastructure software into Fortune 500 enterprises with complex procurement processes.
- • Proven ability to engage and influence software-engineering leaders, platform teams, and security stakeholders; fluency in concepts like CI/CD, DevOps, containerization, and policy-as-code.
- • Hands-on familiarity with modern GenAI and agentic development tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot, Goose, Windsurf, etc.) and the ability to articulate how they integrate into regulated SDLC workflows.
- • Currently located in Chicago, IL (preferred) or Boston, MA, with willingness to travel up to 15 % for customer and prospect meetings.
