- • Retain and increase client spend by identifying whitespace opportunities, cost-justifying solutions, and negotiating and closing deals within an assigned territory.
- • Drive the full sales cycle including identifying client needs, building and maintaining customer relationships, conducting software demonstrations, and closing opportunities.
- • Act as an industry expert by consulting with clients on their critical business issues and strategic initiatives in the commercial, multifamily, or investment real estate sector.
- • Conduct software demonstrations and promote MRI’s solutions at industry conferences and trade shows to expand market presence.
- • Focus on largest accounts and at-risk accounts to maximize account retention and annual recurring revenue (ARR).
- • Mentor and collaborate with the sales team to share best practices in account management and new business development strategies.
- • Generate new business through prospecting, leveraging existing relationships, conducting market analysis, and selling MRI’s software and services.
- • Grow client relationships at the executive level to expand the client footprint and create referenceable customers.
- • Achieve and exceed annual sales quotas by growing revenue within a strategic account base.
- • Minimize client at-risk levels and maintain or increase client spending through consistent quarterly interactions.
- • Identify and understand client business needs and align them with MRI’s software and service offerings.
- • Deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospects and existing clients.
- • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- • Manage the entire sales and contracting process, including creating price quotes, responding to information requests, and conducting negotiations; escalate complex matters to management as needed.
- • Work cross-functionally with implementation, support, pricing, and invoicing teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- • Analyze and control sales-related expenditures to align with budgetary requirements.
- • Design and recommend sales and marketing programs and establish short- and long-term sales strategies for targeted prospects.
- • Monitor and evaluate competitor activities and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
- • Prepare and submit detailed sales reports on volume, potential sales, prospects, and regional opportunities.
- • Represent MRI at trade association meetings, sit on industry panels, and act as a thought leader in the real estate technology space.
- • Operate from a remote home office within the assigned territory with required out-of-town travel.
- • Maintain professional appearance and presentation standards at all client and industry interactions.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7 or more years of strategic sales experience in the commercial, multifamily, or investment real estate industry
- • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent training in business or sales management
- • Proven track record of closing new business and exceeding sales targets over a sustained period
- • Experience selling software solutions within the real estate or property management industry
- • Demonstrated ability to network and build relationships within the real estate industry
- • Must reside in the assigned territory and work from a remote home office

- • Total annual compensation range of $160,000–$250,000 (base salary + commission)
