  • • Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users by troubleshooting EHR system issues, answering questions, and resolving system errors to ensure uninterrupted access and functionality.
  • • Perform routine maintenance tasks including software updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain the stability, security, and performance of the Epic EHR system.
  • • Participate in testing and validation activities for system changes, enhancements, and upgrades, adhering to established change management processes to ensure functional accuracy and prevent unintended disruptions.
  • • Assist in configuring and customizing the Epic EHR system to align with healthcare provider workflows and organizationally approved operational optimizations.
  • • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT professionals, clinicians, administrators, and vendors to support EHR implementation projects and facilitate effective communication and coordination.
  • • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, user procedures, and support issues to build and sustain a reliable knowledge base for team-wide problem-solving and knowledge transfer.
  • • Build and sustain strong relationships with core customer groups including nurses, physicians, revenue cycle staff, health information management teams, and facility leadership.
  • • Apply knowledge of healthcare business workflows and terminology to translate clinical and administrative needs into effective EHR system configurations and solutions.
  • • Utilize desktop tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to document processes, analyze data, and communicate findings or updates.
  • • Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines, resolve urgent issues, and support continuous improvement of EHR system functionality.
  • • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards in all EHR system support and configuration activities.
  • • Adapt to evolving system requirements and participate in training to maintain proficiency in Epic modules and healthcare IT best practices.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • • Epic certification required within three months of class completion or six months of hire
  • • 0–3 years of applicable IT or healthcare experience for Level I; 3–5 years for Level II; 5+ years for Level III
  • • Understanding of healthcare business processes and terminology
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
