- • Manage and execute 15–18 annual events of varying scope and complexity aligned with The Nature Conservancy’s Hawai’i & Palmyra Chapter strategic priorities.
- • Lead the development, programming, branding, and promotional efforts for Marketing’s annual field trip series, identifying and scoping locations across the islands.
- • Serve as team lead on assigned event projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals and objectives.
- • Coordinate with internal staff, external vendors, field offices, and key stakeholders to ensure collaborative and informed event planning.
- • Develop and track communications between all parties involved to ensure successful event completion and donor experience delivery.
- • Manage event budgets, including allocation, tracking, and reporting of expenditures within approved financial parameters.
- • Maintain and schedule the annual pre-planned event calendar, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and seasonal opportunities.
- • Travel up to 25% for business meetings, events, trainings, and team retreats, requiring reliable transportation and compliance with TNC’s Auto Safety Program.
- • Write, edit, and proofread event-related communications, marketing materials, and promotional content for clarity and brand consistency.
- • Apply marketing principles to design and implement events that amplify conservation outcomes, strengthen partnerships, and inspire donor engagement.
- • Conceive and tailor technical or scientific conservation information into compelling narratives for non-technical audiences.
- • Act as a trusted advisor to program and philanthropy partners, building relationships across teams and with external collaborators including media.
- • Navigate complex logistical constraints, shifting priorities, and cultural considerations with adaptability and sound judgment.
- • Demonstrate deep respect for Indigenous knowledge and Hawaiian culture, integrating community-led storytelling into event design.
- • Utilize digital platforms, content management systems, email marketing tools, and analytics to support event promotion and measurement.
- • Plan and produce both live and virtual events, applying current best practices in event production and audience engagement.
- • Provide constructive feedback to ensure all event outputs meet quality and brand standards.
- • Maintain compliance with TNC’s Auto Safety Program, including a valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record.
- • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the mission and operational needs of the Hawai’i & Palmyra Chapter.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- • Experience cultivating and managing client/customer relationships in Hawai’i
- • Experience organizing and coordinating multiple projects
