- • As an Expert Services Engineer at X-Bow Systems Inc., you will be at the forefront of our mission to redefine cybersecurity with the world's first AI-powered autonomous pentester. This pivotal role places you as the primary technical point of contact for our valued customers post-sales, ensuring their successful adoption and ongoing utilization of our groundbreaking platform.
- • You will be instrumental in the seamless integration of the XBOW product into diverse customer environments. This involves a deep understanding of their existing infrastructure, security protocols, and business objectives to architect and implement solutions that maximize the value derived from our AI-driven security capabilities.
- • A core responsibility will be leading self-hosted product deployments, providing comprehensive support, and managing upgrades. This requires meticulous planning, execution, and proactive problem-solving to ensure the stability and performance of the XBOW platform within customer premises.
- • You will actively participate in feature prototyping, collaborating closely with customers to understand their unique challenges and requirements. This hands-on work will involve translating customer needs into tangible product enhancements and providing valuable feedback to our Product Engineering teams.
- • As a key member of our support structure, you will provide Tier 2 technical support for customer-related issues. This demands a strong analytical ability to diagnose complex technical problems, develop effective solutions, and communicate resolutions clearly and efficiently to customers.
- • While primarily a post-sales role, you will be expected to be adaptable and open to supporting pre-sales activities when required. This might involve assisting with complex demonstrations, providing technical insights during the sales cycle, and ensuring a smooth transition from pre-sales engagement to post-sales implementation.
- • Your direct interaction with customers will provide invaluable insights into the practical application and performance of the XBOW product in real-world scenarios. You will be responsible for channeling this feedback to our Product Engineering teams, contributing directly to the continuous improvement and maturation of our platform.
- • A significant aspect of your role will involve articulating the technical and business value of the XBOW product to a wide range of users and stakeholders. This requires the ability to tailor your communication style and technical depth to effectively engage with security engineers, CISOs, and executive leadership.
- • You will play a crucial role in supporting the seamless hand-off between our pre-sales and post-sales teams. This ensures that customer expectations are managed effectively and that all relevant technical information is transferred accurately, leading to a positive and consistent customer experience.
- • Furthermore, you will be tasked with running Expert Services engagements. These engagements are designed to provide specialized technical expertise and strategic guidance to customers, ensuring they achieve their desired security outcomes with the XBOW platform.
- • This is a deeply technical role situated within a customer-facing environment. You will operate across multiple customer accounts, providing critical support to the sales team while simultaneously acting as a vital conduit for information flow back to the Product Engineering team, thereby contributing to the ongoing evolution and enhancement of our cutting-edge platform.
- • Your expertise will be crucial in helping customers understand and leverage the advanced capabilities of our AI-powered pentester, enabling them to proactively identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities before they can be exploited by malicious actors.
- • You will be a trusted advisor to our customers, building strong relationships based on technical proficiency, reliability, and a deep understanding of their security posture and challenges.
- • By bridging the gap between our product development and customer implementation, you will directly contribute to X-Bow Systems' success in revolutionizing the cybersecurity landscape and empowering organizations to defend against increasingly sophisticated threats.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as an Expert Services Engineer, Field Engineer, or similar technical customer-facing role within the cybersecurity domain, ideally with a SaaS product.
- • Strong understanding of key cybersecurity product categories such as SAST (Static Application Security Testing), SCA (Software Composition Analysis), CWP (Cloud Workload Protection), and DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing).
- • Hands-on experience in building and managing cloud infrastructure, deploying products in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI), and integrating with VPN and SSO technologies.
- • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Security Engineering, DevSecOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- • Comprehensive knowledge of fundamental security concepts, including a strong grasp of the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
- • Familiarity with major security frameworks and compliance standards such as ISO-27001, FedRAMP, SOC2, PCI DSS, or HIPAA.
- • Demonstrated ability to support Customer Success Managers (CSMs) by effectively resolving customer technical issues and providing robust Tier 2 support.
- • Comfort and experience in prototyping new features based on customer requirements and feedback.
- • Proficiency in explaining complex security concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including technical teams, security professionals, and executive leadership.
- • Experience in tailoring technical and business messaging to resonate with different stakeholders, from CISOs to security engineers and business executives.
- • Proven experience collaborating with Product Engineering teams to effectively communicate customer learnings, pain points, and feature requests.
- • A foundational understanding of the post-sales customer journey, including common buying drivers and objections.
- • Willingness and aptitude to learn new programming languages, such as Go and TypeScript, as required by the role and product evolution.
- • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Korean is essential for effective communication with our global and local customer base.
