đź“‹ Description
- • The External Product Manager at Lambda Inc. serves as the critical bridge between the company’s AI cloud platform and its most strategic enterprise and superintelligence (SI) customers, ensuring technical alignment, driving product-led growth, and owning end-to-end customer success across pre-sales and post-sales lifecycles. This role is pivotal in transforming customer feedback into product innovation while safeguarding Lambda’s reputation for reliability and technical excellence in high-stakes AI infrastructure deployments.
- • Day to day, the External Product Manager will own pre-sales and post-sales engagement for SI partners, SI-led customers, and enterprise accounts, acting as the primary technical and commercial interface; serve as the internal champion for customer success by representing customer needs across technical, operational, and commercial dimensions to product, engineering, and executive teams; drive cross-functional coordination with support, operations, engineering, and product teams to trace, escalate, and resolve customer issues with speed and clarity; manage complex, multi-party deployments requiring alignment between Lambda’s platform, SI delivery teams, and end customers; own all external-facing communication for assigned accounts, ensuring consistent messaging and internal alignment before any customer outreach; establish and maintain structured customer engagement cadences including weekly technical reviews, monthly business alignment calls, quarterly roadmap exercises, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs); own the customer roadmap and feature delivery pipeline by conducting technical and product discovery to ensure features are delivered to the right customers at the right time; translate customer feedback, pain points, and feature requests into structured input for Inbound Product Managers to directly influence product prioritization and roadmap decisions; manage cluster performance accountability including effective uptime, SLA tracking, spares policy, diagnostics, and maintenance strategy; and navigate complex account dynamics such as budget cycles, internal politics, SLA interpretation disputes, and organizational ambiguity on both customer and Lambda sides.
- • The External Product Manager will join a high-impact, fast-growing team at Lambda, a leader in AI cloud infrastructure serving tens of thousands of customers ranging from researchers to hyperscalers, where the mission is to make compute as ubiquitous as electricity and democratize access to superintelligence. The team operates with a founder’s mindset, emphasizing deep customer investment, proactive problem-solving, and relentless focus on enabling customer success on Lambda’s platform, with close collaboration across Sales, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Engineering, and Product.
- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in enterprise AI infrastructure sales motions, technical account management at scale, and product-led growth strategies in high-growth B2B technology environments. They will build a track record of driving renewals, expansions, co-built features, and case studies that directly contribute to Lambda’s market position, while earning the trust of executive stakeholders as a reliable source of customer truth and strategic insight.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Account Management, Solutions Engineering, or a related customer-facing technical role.
- • Deep technical fluency in GPU infrastructure, cloud computing, distributed systems, or AI/ML workloads, including comfort discussing CUDA, InfiniBand, Kubernetes scheduling, and training cluster architectures.
- • Proven ability to manage complex enterprise accounts with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and high commercial stakes.
- • Strong communication and storytelling skills: ability to distill technical complexity into clear, compelling narratives for both engineers and executives.
- • Experience running structured engagement cadences (QBRs, roadmap reviews, SLA discussions) and producing executive-level briefings.
- • Demonstrated skill in negotiation, pushback, and constructive conflict resolution with customers and internal teams.
- • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to build process where none exists, thriving in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
- • Strong cross-functional coordination instincts, with experience driving outcomes across engineering, support, sales, and operations.
