Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • • BRINC is at the forefront of revolutionizing public safety through innovative technology, specifically focusing on enhancing emergency response capabilities with our Drone as a First Responder (DFR) program. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented FAA Regulatory Waiver Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and compliant operation of our advanced drone systems within the national airspace.
  • • This critical position involves the meticulous preparation, submission, and ongoing management of all necessary regulatory authorizations, waivers, and supporting documentation required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of saving lives by enabling first responders to access critical visual data and de-escalate dangerous situations more effectively.
  • • As the FAA Regulatory Waiver Manager, you will be the central point of contact and subject matter expert for all FAA-related regulatory processes. This includes proactively engaging with our public safety partners, understanding their unique operational needs, and guiding them through the complex FAA authorization landscape. Your ability to provide timely, accurate, and supportive service will be paramount in maintaining strong, trust-based relationships throughout the entire regulatory approval lifecycle.
  • • A key aspect of this role is the robust management of submission pipelines. You will be responsible for tracking multiple projects concurrently, ensuring all deadlines are met, diligently following up on submissions, and achieving critical regulatory milestones. This requires exceptional organizational skills and a proactive, results-oriented approach to navigate long and often consultative sales and approval cycles.
  • • You will be tasked with identifying potential regulatory challenges before they arise and developing creative, effective problem-solving strategies to ensure successful and timely approvals. This necessitates a deep understanding of FAA regulations and a forward-thinking mindset.
  • • Staying abreast of the ever-evolving landscape of FAA regulations, policies, and authorization pathways is crucial. You will be expected to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base specifically relevant to public safety aviation operations, ensuring BRINC and its partners remain compliant and at the cutting edge of regulatory understanding.
  • • Collaboration is key to success in this role. You will work closely with BRINC’s Project Management and Customer Success teams to ensure a cohesive and efficient client experience. Furthermore, you will partner with our Engineering and Product Teams to guarantee that our aircraft capabilities, software features, and operational procedures are not only innovative but also fully aligned with current and anticipated FAA regulatory frameworks.
  • • This role demands a proactive and independent work ethic, with the ability to manage many projects simultaneously and maintain strong pipeline discipline. You will be expected to independently manage all aspects of travel, including booking flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and creating detailed itineraries, as approximately 20% of your time will involve travel to engage with customers, Air Traffic Controllers, and FAA points of contact.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and organizational skills, coupled with excellent technical writing and regulatory documentation abilities. Experience in preparing FAA waiver applications or Certificates of Authorization (COAs) using platforms like DroneZone or CAPS is highly desirable. Familiarity with Google Earth mapping functionality or similar software, and proficiency in the Google Office Automation suite, will be essential tools for your success.
  • • BRINC fosters a culture of innovation, excellence, and a commitment to saving lives through technology. We encourage trying the hard stuff, moving fast, listening to end-users, and striving for excellence, all while maintaining a focus on ethical development and responsible innovation. If you are passionate about public safety, possess a strong regulatory acumen, and thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment, we encourage you to apply and join us in shaping the future of emergency response.
