  • • Lyte, Inc. is at the forefront of developing Physical AI perception systems designed to operate seamlessly in complex, real-world environments. Our innovative platform integrates custom silicon, advanced sensors, and sophisticated software, creating a unified solution for robotics, mobility, and the next generation of automation. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, with a growing global footprint, Lyte is a company where passion for impactful technology meets a dynamic, hands-on approach to problem-solving. If you are driven by the prospect of building groundbreaking technology and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced setting, we invite you to explore this exciting opportunity.
  • • As a Field Applications Engineer at Lyte, you will play a pivotal role at the intersection of cutting-edge robotics systems, advanced perception software, diverse sensor technologies, and critical customer integration efforts. This position demands a unique blend of deep technical ownership and direct, impactful customer interaction. You will be instrumental in supporting customer engagements, orchestrating compelling demonstrations, and ensuring the successful real-world deployment of our Physical AI perception platform. Your day-to-day will involve hands-on work with Lyte's sophisticated perception stack, demo systems, and reference platforms, providing essential support for customer evaluations, pilot programs, and early-stage deployments.
  • • This role is perfectly suited for a highly motivated and technically adept engineer who relishes the challenge of building, rigorously testing, and meticulously debugging complex systems. Equally important is your ability to collaborate closely with customer engineering teams, acting as a trusted technical advisor to ensure the smooth and successful adoption of Lyte's transformative technology. You will be the technical bridge between Lyte's innovations and our customers' unique application needs.
  • • Key responsibilities will encompass the complete technical execution of customer demonstrations, in-depth evaluations, and critical proof-of-concept deployments. This includes the hands-on configuration, deployment, and meticulous debugging of Lyte's perception systems, spanning all layers from hardware and firmware to software. You will provide crucial support for customer integration initiatives, which may involve precise sensor placement, system bring-up procedures, intricate calibration processes, and rigorous performance validation to ensure optimal functionality.
  • • A significant aspect of this role involves working directly and collaboratively with customer engineering teams. You will dedicate time to thoroughly understand their specific application requirements, using this knowledge to expertly tailor demo and evaluation setups to meet their precise needs. Furthermore, you will be tasked with diagnosing and resolving complex issues that may arise across the entire spectrum of our technology, including perception algorithms, data pipelines, sensor performance, compute hardware, and the underlying robotics platforms.
  • • Your role will extend to actively capturing detailed customer feedback from real-world field deployments. This invaluable insight will be systematically communicated to our product management and engineering teams, directly influencing the future development and enhancement of Lyte's offerings. You will also contribute to building and maintaining essential demo assets, establishing robust reference configurations, and developing comprehensive internal documentation that serves as a critical resource for all customer engagements.
  • • To effectively support our global customer base, you will be expected to travel to customer sites as needed. This travel will be essential for conducting on-site demonstrations, performing critical testing, and leading technical workshops, ensuring a high level of support and engagement.
  • • This is an exceptional opportunity to make a tangible impact by working with a highly skilled, cross-functional team on truly cutting-edge technologies that are shaping the future of AI and robotics. You will be an integral part of a company that values innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a closely related technical field.
  • • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on engineering experience with robotics systems, perception stacks, or autonomous platforms.
  • • Strong systems-level understanding of robotics platforms, encompassing hardware, sensors, compute, and software integration.
  • • Proficiency in Python and/or C++ for system bring-up, tooling, debugging, and data analysis.
  • • Experience working with Linux-based operating systems and modern software development workflows.
  • • Ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-disciplinary technical issues in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated comfort working directly with customer engineering teams.
