Field Security Engineer

📋 Description

• • Serve as the primary technical security voice for enterprise customers during critical security reviews, architecture deep-dives, and deal-closing calls with Fortune 500 organizations in financial services, healthcare, and payments.
• • Lead credible, technical conversations on AI security topics including agent behavior, MCP exposure, context governance, prompt injection, model risks, and the application of ISO 42001 — without requiring ramp-up time.
• • Own the design and delivery of automation systems that reduce manual effort in compliance workflows, replacing repetitive tasks with AI agents that collect evidence, update trust center content, and streamline security questionnaires.
• • Maintain and continuously improve Atlan’s public Trust Center to deflect repeat customer inquiries, ensuring content is accurate, actionable, and reduces onboarding time — measured by faster customer adoption, not completed forms.
• • Drive end-to-end ownership of compliance initiatives across SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, HIPAA, and GDPR, including evidence collection, audit preparation, and implementation of continuous-compliance automation.
• • Build and ship production-grade AI agents that automate gaps left by tools like Vanta, focusing on evidence maintenance, review deflection, and real-time compliance monitoring.
• • Collaborate directly with enterprise security teams to understand their unique risk profiles and translate those into scalable, reusable security artifacts and documentation.
• • Ensure all customer commitments made during security discussions are fulfilled independently — no handoffs, no delays — by owning the full lifecycle from promise to delivery.
• • Contribute to the evolution of Atlan’s compliance program as it scales globally, expanding beyond field support into strategic program leadership as performance and impact warrant.
• • Work evening IST hours regularly to align with customer time zones in the US and EU, ensuring timely response and engagement during critical security review cycles.
• • Translate complex regulatory and technical requirements into clear, customer-facing explanations that build trust and accelerate deal velocity.
• • Identify recurring pain points in security reviews and proactively design system-level solutions that reduce manual workload quarter-over-quarter.
• • Maintain deep familiarity with enterprise security frameworks and apply them contextually to AI-native platforms, ensuring Atlan’s infrastructure meets the highest standards of data and agent governance.
• • Act as a bridge between customer-facing security needs and internal engineering teams, translating real-world enterprise requirements into product and automation priorities.
• • Contribute to the development of Atlan’s Context Studio and agentic, MCP-based platform by embedding security controls and governance mechanisms directly into the product architecture.
• • Ensure all trust center documentation, compliance artifacts, and customer-facing security materials are current, accurate, and reflect the latest product capabilities and regulatory expectations.
