- • As a Field Service Engineer for Sartorius AG, you will serve as the primary technical liaison between North American customers and internal teams, ensuring timely installation, maintenance, repair, and training for Bioprocess products across the southern United States and Puerto Rico. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction, equipment uptime, and service revenue generation in a mission-driven life sciences organization.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include performing installations, start-ups, preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations on Bioprocess equipment; conducting operator training; troubleshooting technical issues using logical analysis; generating service quotations and scheduling appointments; managing parts inventory and tool maintenance; completing accurate field service reports, installation records, and customer surveys; and proactively communicating schedule availability and service needs to management and customers.
- • You will operate as a remote-based role covering North Carolina while servicing customers across a broad southern region including NM, CO, TX, OK, MS, LA, AR, GA, TN, NC, SC, FL, and Puerto Rico, requiring up to 85% local and regional travel to customer sites.

- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in biopharmaceutical equipment service, strengthen customer relationship management skills, gain experience with ISO 9001 and GMP/GMP standards, and enhance technical troubleshooting and field operations capabilities—positioning you for advancement within Sartorius’ global service organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in an Electrical/Electronic discipline, or minimum of an associate’s degree combined with equivalent industry experience or technical/military training
- • Minimum 3 years of Field Service experience, preferably in the Biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- • Valid Driver’s License and Passport, with willingness to travel up to 85% locally and within the southern region
- • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and solid understanding of ISO 9001 and GMP/GDP requirements
- • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
